Hoa & Dale,

Congratulations on and to the healthy birth of yr
new baby this must now be placed in every head line

my name is isaac and i've come to skanky possum
via scott at effing magazine

the poetry scene had a shopwindow to it being
godfelt, illusive and poor

just knowing of this this circle with it open ends and fissures,
it's honest...

scott,

so i now have in hand a cheap copy of "gunslinger" by way o' the folds o' the
trenchcoat o' the net. there are raw white spots on the back but it has a strong spine.

i arrived last nite from m' fud, MA with good notions of cider talks ( i noted repeatedly an intense attachment to the hard physical places of past...

I will start to grow a lemon tree
My minds is cloud minds. I feel the great pull of California
where i have never been, most or more so towards san francisco.

holding the shiny-est string for this come-on is the new american folk
scene which, with the toadstool sittings of joanna newsom, vetiver and
the currently relocated devendra banhart seems to be rooting on...

i'm not really sure.. i haven't kept up with the folk scene as of late.
uh.. but sally taylor is pretty good..?
redcrayon:
hmmm, comtemporary folk....

it's on the rise, women are dominating the talent right now. songwriting remains key although anyone thinks they can unplug their guitar and be "folk". experimental poetry can be found with all the big fish: ani, cat powers, aimee mann, elliiot smith, etc. , but no one will surpass bob dylan and joni mitchell.
just my two cents. smile

Verses Upset by Sampling
Lemonade for a New Age

Before nights are called theres held,
One last exhibition
Its sponsor my partner
Of bronze screw and stuffed nose
Razed from dark oak trundle
And set to the floor
The buckshot assembly of Tiz in the world.
Could each stand a lift and spent explanation

Tizzies got carnival glasses,
Their lens served by thin paper discs,...

its the A Perfect Circle band logo.. i chose it because i figured theres a lil irony behind it.. the band name is A Perfect Circle, and ( ) is not a perfect circle at all... i figure ya there is geometrically a perfect circle.. but no one is perfect.. your circle is what you make of it.. sometimes it happens to be a square, or a triangle.. unique, yet still simple. i dont know where im going with this.. haha im kinda babbling... wink

Calendar Day, 10th
10:24am

dream:

I.

i am soon to visit a balding gay man
with a room full of exotic mirrored art...

still it rightly begins where i remember which is one of those cafes under the guise of a lantern and who i am sitting with is elizabeth, a fine leo with long black hair , a face like a paper lamp. I...

Meteorological Lessons
From a Childrens Book

I. Origins in Playful Force

Here is the 9 a.m.
Swollen with morning traffic.
By way of its regulated press,
I am channeled,
Into counties which had hosted,
The woodcuts and marzipan cliff facings,
Of my own exhausted years.

Return at once puts them in
The mind of a track-run slideshow,
Scored by a broken window,
Its bandage of,...

last nite was a culture dream
and in fact
not illuminating
not exciting...

it featured...
allie
a forged girl who seemed
to like me
an administrator looking like a cross between doc jacoby and the dean from animal house

and the whole thing took place at a school
allie's school
she had invited me
i cannot
remember why

the only part that seem valuable is...

Ive had my second dream of Andrew
And it was
That he had been brought back to life by our
Old geometry teacher/para-guru

Of course there was
a limited amount of time
In which we could all celebrate
his return

In a matter of days he would
be back in the grave

So we spent it racing around a duo
Of lodgings in 1940s New...

Unfortunately, my account must go dormant... stop, please, i feel the same way but if there is ever a time to utter "alas" it is now.

Alas, already

However, I must now get about to the business of copying all my journal entries to the sturdy workings of my hard drive.

but lastly is this, that is, what i've been working on for poetry composition...

Trixies got carnival glasses
With lenses like thins paper discs
Emblazoned on both sides
Is a quizzical navel

She considers these a fine treasure
And say so much dont you think?

a paper thin 45
of dick nixons inauguration speech
is also valued
obscure and of good vintage

some board walk bard
with joke house props; disassembled,
and fashion mags
cringing with dampness
cobbles the...
