I thought I just heard a moment of a porn on BBC News. Turned out it was an out of context scene from When Harry Met Sally (they accidentally played the wrong clip on a Google tablet story).
I guess Nora Ephron, a woman who's written, directed and produced several notable screenplays including When Harry Met Sally, passed away. Can't say I was a...

The funny part on the twitter thing is, he would have had to find me several pages back on the twitter thread in Hookups. I found him because he put his handle on the CE thread, but I never said anything to or about him on twitter.

It looks like "Waldo" is not the only magic word!!!
Saw this today and I was impressed.
To be Christian is your choice, sir
And to Jesus you can pray.
There's no call to raise your voice, sir.
Just 'cause you can have your way.
Your religion isn't mine, sir, and the bible's not my book,
But I read the Constitution and you might just take a look.
For that document protects us from the...

The lineup.
First friend moved to Reno and is a hen pecked bitch that doesn't get any say in his life or money.
Dad, is a shut in 6 hours away and doesn't feel like leaving his property even though he is a life long Floyd fan that has never seen them in concert.
Brother, lives in the same area and has a similar outlook.
Sister, was afraid to leave her boyfriend alone for a week to go to the concert and visit with family because she fears he'll probably go fuck someone else while she is gone.
Friend #2, was 4 hours away and didn't want to drive up for the concert.
Friend #3, didn't call back.

Happy Birthday!
Darn, no rapture today. I guess we'll all just need to try and get through the next day...

Thank you!
I'm feeling a bit dreamy and sentimental...

When I first started coming out here in 2000 it was so much different as well. The intersection right here that was once a wonderful sand drifted four way stop is now a six lane mega street. The sand no where to be found. I used to love the sandstorms that would pick up on windy days (like today actually) and if you were out in one the sand would build up on your windshield so much you would have no choice but to use the wiper once or twice to remove it. I haven't seen a sand storm in years because there is no more sand in this desert, only concrete and grass. With all of the extra sprinklers and lack of sand the humidity sometimes feels more like Florida than a desert.

I'd hate to end up like the Asimov novel. Caves of Steal. I drive down the freeway sometimes and stare off into the mountains and wonder what the valley must have been like before all of the concrete was poured. Seven billion people have to live somewhere but damn. Sure, human progress is what got us into this mess, only because it is had by human minds. Ironically, it's progress through technology that can save us, seriously though, one more reason, despite the difficulties, to head out into space. Not only would it create millions of jobs, but solve the ever increasing sustainability problem. Though, the amoeba analogy is pretty accurate and if we don't learn from the mistakes made on Earth it will only happen again elsewhere. I just don't see how a society such as ours can survive without a complete paradigm shift in human thinking. Call me crazy (if you haven't already ) but currency based economics is the main culprit. I long for the (mythological) era when people do in the name of good and discovery, or simply because shit needs to get done, and take care of the world or worlds of which support them. Celebrated by vast cultural diversity but united in common interests instead of separated by differences. In such a world there would be no reason or warrant for our small sandy roads to become six lane highways.

Well it is one of the biggest music fests in the world and the music is mostly good, but any time you get 50,000 people together and serve them alcohol shit is bound to happen.
How was owning a winery? Grow your own grapes? I think having a vineyard would be pretty fantastic (the idea of it anyway). I'm a country dude at heart (not country as in the music or culture, just love being in rural places far from the nearest city).

This great "infographic" comes from the folks over at GOOD.
It's relevant to my interests as I've finally gone back to school this Spring and am taking cartography and GIS courses. For one of my final projects I'm producing a seismic hazard map of the area. This graphic is a great source of inspiration for the Powerpoint presentation that I'll have to do.

I got fed up with the Gadsden flag and the asshole teabaggers who keep waving it around as if they were being tread upon. Last time I looked, the only person getting trod on was a MoveOn member getting attacked and trampled by a bunch of these crazy zealots. This country is so screwed. In honor of these creeps, I made them a new flag....

Really good advice, thank you.
I watched the director's cut. I prefer it. I hadn't seen it in years, but it really is an awesome movie. I love the sound track, too. I just borrowed it off a friend, which is what inspired me to watch it again in the first place.

Stolen!?! What a bummer.
You could just zoom in on the map and switch to satellite view. That will get to your cache site. You'd still have to beat the brush and decipher the clues.
