#!: The teenager who lives in my house told me that she thought I was so quick witted that I should be a writer. She said I would read my diary, if I published it.

Still got it, baby. Office job < artistic integrity.

#@: I've elected some favourite suicidegirls; I thought after five years it was probably time. I chose the women I've chosen...

Good choices. I agree.

Happy Birthday.

I am too busy for my life.

I spend every day learning about finance, but because I work for the government I'm not allowed to talk about it.

I bake.

I clean.

I am, however, rather happy.

What do you do? I need to justify my existence through the company I (don't) keep.

For the love. And also sort of a purpose. Not everything can be expressed as well with words as with pictures.

I sure shouldn't have had you and Thistle and her beau anywhere near my FML ranting. You guys were the highlight of my month.

I can't remember what I told you when we caught up, but it's just ... dragging on with lots of uncertainty and lack of anyone knowing what's going on. I'm just Officially Not Worrying about it, which means being prepared for whatever shit eventuates.

I'd hoped Atlanta would give me a week away from it all, but quite a bit of it followed me there. blackeyed

So this weekend I was in prison with Thistle and Mr_Reliable. What did you do?

Believe it or not, I've experienced worse.

Prison, you say!? Hopefully it was Gaga prison and not the regular kind of prison.
calico:
Haha, that's fantastic. Lately I just haven't had the energy for the feminism group, so sarcastic statements are ok with me.

In which she is vain

I'm an adult again.

Today I resumed sensible adult employment. After reading this, I've stopped to take note that I'm earning an entirely adequate salary while also being able to contribute to a job that, while dreary and uninspiring, is entirely divested from ethically dubious corporate enterprise. I work for the branch of the government that makes sure commonwealth...

My best friend spent the entire year calling me in apoplectic horror, convinced she was going to fail her honours dissertaion. Clearly justified, she scored a pathetic 98% and was awarded the university medal.

I think it's unfortunately telling that my crowning accomplishment in two thousand and nine was being right about someone else's efforts.

Happy Arbitrarily Defined Gregorian New Year! This year I will...

Could be worse, your biggest accomplishment could have been maxing out characters on World Of Warcraft. So in terms of time and energy invested vs. gain achieved, I think you'd come out ahead. wink

hahaha this journal made me remember how much I miss you and why. How have you been doing?

Today I flew two thousand miles, and accomplished nothing. What did you do?

The Noises Rest

Most people assume that silent films were silent for technological reasonsthat there wasnt a way to capture and reproduce sound along with the moving image in those classic early films.

Thats a lie: the technology was never a big deal. Directors at the time simply chose, for aesthetic reasons, to embrace the purity of silence.

A horizontal rule would go here, if...

It's pretty much purely aesthetic. The tattoo shop had two sheets of Halloween-themed designs, each cost $31. Necia and I ended up choosing the same one. smile

The problem with making coffee out of little bags in the morning is that I have to throw them out before I tend to my addiction. Every morning, I lack the grace, and the little bag leaves a little coffee smear down the wall. How very glamourous am I.

Ex Memoriam Luca Montgomery Chrusos
01/07/2003 28/02/2009

Luca, my beloved friend and constant companion, was struck by a car and killed on Saturday night. I really don't know what to say. I am rent, lost and devastated. There is no one to blame, but now I am alone.

I'm crushed. I honestly don't understand how this happened, and I just want her back.

I love...
