hi all.
let's see. bjork show was amazing.
there aren't even enough capital letters and exclamation points and icons to express how truely amazing it really was, so i won't use any.
she's perfect. perfectly perfect.
there were fireworks.
my sister had her baby.
36 hours of labor.
again, exclamation points don't do this justice.
spent an entire day reorganizing my library.
i have dreams of our dreamhouse that would have a tall, silo-like tower library w/a fireplace, my grandfather's antique desk that's at my parent's house b/c it's too big to fit in mine now, very tall bookshelves, a rolling ladder, and a card catalogue - i saw one in an antique store once and i've been daydreaming a/b it ever since.
i went to the bookstore w/a friend and bought 8 new books. could have bought at least 15, but i restrained myself.
there's a new tom robbins out! and a new umberto eco!
i told my dad a/b it and he asked if i had a rule like my mother's w/ her cookbooks (she collects them and now has thousands so she made a rule that if she buys a new one she has to get rid of an old one).
i told him no, my goal is to never have to get rid of any of my books ever.
i'm forming a book club at my work.
we have our first meeting on tuesday.
i'm very excited!
then i got very sick.
people at work were joking that it was west nile.
it very well could be - it's kinda out of control here. but what are you gonna do? it's a virus. just wait it out.
i'm feeling much better now though.
went to a friends bachelorette party last night.
sushi and dancing.
it was fun.
but i'm kinda hungover today.
blah.
hope all is well w/ all those i've been neglecting like a horrible, horrrible person.
sorry.
vega

next time you go for sushi, come to Sonoda's on 6th ave and say hi to me.
You'll know it's me because I'm the only white girl working there.
