Friday night me, Michele, and AC rocked the Apocalypse Kow Kristmas Kabaret with my classic short play At the Gates. And let me tell you, the Kows are big enough laughers that it almost would've been worth it to do the show just for them. But the performance went great, the other acts were impressive, and the Kows were fun as always.
Being whisked off to a house party by carla, though, made the night. Wicked fun shindig attended by SG people I knew and was glad to see again, SG people I was glad to meet (Mr. FreakPirate and Ms. Tink), and some damn cool non-members. A good time was had by all. A brilliant time, in fact. So much that Michele has convinced me we need to boot back up to Edmonton on the 30th for Part One of the New Year's bash.
So if you're in SG Canada West, and wanted to attend part of the festivities but had no ride, there's room in my car for three more. We will be coming back the morning of the 31st, however, so bear that in mind.
4.5 work days to Christmas break... given that the last four years that meant Christmas and New Year's Day off (if we were lucky), a 10-day stretch with no work seems the very height of oppulance. But I'm gonna enjoy it, see if I don't.
Right. Not gonna go to the walk-in clinic today, not much time, but maybe this week I can move towards being able to say "No, there is definitely not a tumour/bug that laid eggs in my brain! Huzzah!"
"You're scared of mice and spiders, but oh-so-much greater is your fear that one day the two species will cross-breed to form an all-powerful race of mice-spiders who will immobilize human beings in giant webs in order to steal cheese."
