Over-Exuberant Update time!
I have been living in Tucson since April 1st, and to be perfectly honest, it has been tough. I left a perfectly good job and comfortable life for the uncertainty and insecurity of a cross country move, just for one reason; to be with my son. Doing so has me living with him, his mother (my ex) and her new husband... which isn't as awkward as it sounds, really.
Really. It isn't.
Stop laughing at me.
Money's been tight, as I have resorted to day-labor to make ends meet. Labor Ready really makes the money. They sell me to various companies for an astronomical fee (like 15 or more bucks per hour and pay me...
This leads me to the uncomfortable conclusion that I... am a prostitute. A very poorly paid one.
However, this is where the exuberance comes in. Since the last week of June, I have been working for a small company out here that likes me enough that we have had the application discussion... and the interview discussion... and the pay and benefits discussion. Only stop-gap there is is the clause in the Labor Ready contract that says I have to work at the client company under Labor Ready's yoke for certain number of hours before being hired outright by the client. Otherwise, the client pays an absurd penalty-- to the tune of three thousand dollars! Sheesh. That's on top of the extra six or seven dollars they're not putting in my pocket every hour I work.

Yeah. The sooner as I get this bastard off my throat, the better.
That said, The company and I would not have met without LR. So, thanks. Really.
So, yeah. I'm hired but for the paperwork, and probably as soon as September I will have worked the requisite hours to get out from under old Bela's cape. Mo' Money, Y'all!! This also means that by November, I will have enough disposable income lying around that this here will be on my list of places to go...
Yeessss. Blackheart Burlesque, here I come!
Because I'm a dick and "TL:DR" makes me want to eat a pound of shattered glass and take a cheese grater to my face, I'll put my TL:DR at the END of my long post. Ha-HA!
