Christmas this year was, indeed, Merry. And not the Meriadoc Brandybuck kind either--I managed to spend the entire day without LotR references until now.
However, now and again I tend to amuse myself. My away message for yesterday and today, for those of you who have not seen it, has been:
"off celebrating the birth of some guy that just got killed anyway...some jolly fat guy with a beard or something.. *shrugs* I don't really care, I get presents"
Maybe it's just me, but I enjoyed that. I also enjoy authentic chai tea. With milk. And honey. *sips*
I'm yet to write anything at all meaningful here. Odd for me. I guess I just needed somewhere to vent my situational ADD. The semester will be starting soon though--thoughts in excess are thus to come.
In the meantime, I started Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson today. I had asked for it for Christmas, not realizing that it weighs as much as I do. Snow Crash was certainly quite entertaining, but it was only around 450 pages--this is going to have to be much less lighthearted and a little more memorable for me to be happy about sitting through 1130 pages.
Speaking of ADD... I'm going to go do something else now.
SHINY!! *bolts*
.... *runs back, grabs his tea, and forgets what he left to do in the first place*

doctashock:
Glad to hear your holidays are going well. I'm actually not doing that bad. I just don't enjoy being sick that's all. Good luck in the new semester.
