This week was nuts. Monday was my first full day back to work after the little surgery, and my boss decided to give me the opportunity to present some of my work to the people way up over the projects I'm a fairly small part of. Of course, that meant scrambling around like a madman (and working wicked late) for a couple days getting tons...

One of these days, I'll really get back into this full time. Really. Hopefully this time?

Life hasn't changed much the last time I was around, though I've made some decisions about going back to school. For now, though, it's a waiting game until I can start the application process, figure out which PhD programs I would be interesting in pursuing in the area, then...

My wife was a lab tech for a research lab for a bit - which is obviously different than what you're up to, but I'm betting *existentially* similar. She came to really loathe it - it was just too lonely. So she headed back to school. But after an MA, she was more interested in professional school, and is now getting a PharmD.

This is probably far into the realm of TMI, but a hilarious conversation that must be shared.

Jay: You must be up to 2x/day, right? Regular as clockwork?

me: it was getting to that point, trying to cut back biggrin

Jay: hahahaha
Not too far back, gotta keep the gears lubricated.

me: helps prevent prostate cancer!

Jay: For when actual pussy shows itself, you won't last...

Zomg! An entry! *gasp*

So, as mentioned, I'm now living in Boston. It's been a long road to get here, considering how long I've wanted to live in Boston, but I was finally able to secure a job in small pharma in Cambridge that allowed me to finally get myself out here. I've been here since the beginning of July, but I still occasionally have...

I'm back! After a misguided extended absence, I've returned to SG (again).

Also, I'm now living in Boston, which is great.

Unfortunately, I'm not particularly good at keeping a blog anymore (I've mostly lost interest in writing about myself very impersonally, as blogs are), but I'll try to update this regularly anyway.

Went to see Cruxshadows tonight, among others. They put on a great show, I have to say. Rogue is a born performer. He also has a minor obsession with climbing on things--I was pretty impressed that he was able to satisfy this need in such a small venue, but he did. Occassionally having to duck so his head (and hair!) wouldn't be through the ceiling...

So you're back in the states now I take it?

I think CruxShadows might be from the city I went to college in. I could be getting them mixed up with this other band though.

Meh. Back in Indy for a few months before I head east again. Long story, don't really feel like going into it.

Of course, now I have the problem that I know absolutely no one here, and since I haven't actually lived here in a long time, I don't know what there is to do around here either. Time to start trying to get out...

And there is even going to be a proper game over here in October , Miami are going to play New York Giants at Wemberly (if they have finally finished it) , I Might try and arrange an SGUK trip to that game.

I hope the Colts win as Payton Manning is one of my fav players. Although i would care more if it was the Green Bay Packers who i randomly support , but we are just plain awful at the moment.

Oh, man. Went to see Rocky Horror tonight with a friend. We were all dressed up, though the percentage of people who were was less than I'm used to. There was still enough that we didn't completely feel out of place, so it's all good. =) The only frightening part about it is that the 55-60 year old man sitting next to me, who was...

That's twice now that my plans for a nice, romantic evening have been tossed aside; the most recent time because she couldn't be bothered to come over at all, despite it being originally her idea.

*shrug* Fine. If she can't be bothered, neither can I. *checks watch* This is the point in the film where the person on screen starts counting meaningfully until the...

Wow, I feel like a complete idiot.

I was walking back from a friend's place--somewhere I've been 4 or 5 times previously, which I had no problem finding even the very first time I ever went. I've always travelled to and from there from the exact same place (where I live). It's also worth noting that I have an extremely good direction sense.

Now for...

Hmmm...

This isn't working.

I probably won't be staying here. Life is too short to spend it hating what you're doing, and I'm not one to sit around and be miserable when there's something I can do to improve my life. Even if it is going to be difficult.

So are we speaking of the UK in general, the job, or the site?
mark_plus_beer:
the site or the uk ??

The last three times i've seen hatebreed i've been punched in the face twice and once in the throat. The throat hurts more , but thats what you get for going to hardcore shows
