Sorry about the whole 'not having a boyfriend thing' I totally understand though. I've been here for a year, single the whole time because I'm not really attracted to Chinese girls, and all the Foreign women are usually only here for 3-6 months or so, and no one wants to get involved knowing you're going to have to say goodbye. But that's the sacrifice I knew I'd have to make when I came here.

I'm in Beijing, by the way. Studying Chinese and working on independant projects. As much as I'd like to say that I don't need to study the language anymore, it's sadly not true. I'm here long term, at least a few more years. Most of my time goes into study, but I also spend a lot of time working on business development projects. Nothing is set to stone yet, but it takes a lot of time to setup a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise here in China. I lived in Taiwan for a few months back in 2001, it was awesome.

Are you in Chaoyang then, or the Shunyi/Dashanzi areas, etc? Hey, it's the weekend, if you want to get a cup of coffee or something, call me 137-1875-0273 or we can continue playing comment tag, whatever works for you.

How bout yourself? What brought you to Asia in the first place, and what's made you stick around? What inspired you to move from Taiwan to Beijing, knowing that winter would suck like it does here?
