Wow, been ages since I've been on here. I'm in London now and I remembered meeting up with some great SGUK folks years ago. So here I am all renewed.

Heading to S. of France on Monday (Aix en Provence), then Paris for a week, then Berlin for about 10 days, then back to London for a wedding.

Until we meet again...
creamygoodness:
I think I remember you!

Of course, I also think I'm just about the only person left from SGUK who would...

Heading to Vancouver tomorrow. Wooo! Looking forward to a little downtime and some design geekery. Not looking forward to significantly cooler temps and rain. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a change of pace if I could even remember what to wear.

SF weather makes you soft.
_bossanova_:
I hear SF in general makes you soft.tongue

you heard right!

Heading to Vancouver for the first time in early February. Anyone have thoughts on what to see and do there?

Mushroom hunt tomorrow in Salt Point State Park. Spending the night somewhere closeby to avoid waking up at the ass-crack of dawn. Should be fun!

Padded bras: Just say no!

Happy Friday, Happy New Year!
dennisekicksass:
thanks luv
_bossanova_:
Padded bras are just sad. If you're small, work it. Plenty of people are in the IBTC.

(that's totally not directed at you, by the way)tongue

Did you survive the mushroom hunt?wink

Finally back home in SF. It's great to see family and a few friends in Atlanta, but I can't imagine going back. It's refreshing to be back to biking around town. It can only be described as a revelation. Trust me, your car is not as great as you think it is.

In other news, I've come to the unpleasant realization that coffee's effect on...

Spent Friday night in Oakland for a friend's art opening. This has the pleasant effect of making the weekend seem longer.

I heard some Tom Waits a while back that made me think I could warm up to him. Rain Dogs or something older?

This Beaujolais Nouveau smells a lot like bananas. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

In other news, I wish there was an easy way to hook SG up to Twitter. How many blogs can a person keep up with? (Answer for me: One.)

What's the best thing you've heard recently? The new Of Montreal album has been growing on me but I'm trying not to burn out on it before the show next week. If the last album is dark neuroticism this one is a sticky sexplotion.

I want you to be
my pleasure-puss.
_bossanova_:
It's not brand new or anything, but my latest thing is Santogold. I also love King Kahn and his supporting bands (I think he has a couple of them)-I caught them live by accident last time I was here on vacation. I was at the venue for Flosstradamus but they were playing before-amazing!love

i like of montreal. it's good. i like santogold, too.

I'm back from Iceland, Norway and a few days in England for good measure. Trip was awesome, of course.

Arrived in Iceland just in time to witness financial collapse. Nothing too dramatic really, mostly people wondering what was going to happen and who to blame. Every cafe seemed to have an interview and naturally everyone was talking about it from the bars to the airport....

Just got back from the My Bloody Valentine show. Less a show to watch than one to feel. I was expecting the aural assault but the visuals were so intense I had to close my eyes for a while. Imagine a million flash bulbs going off as stacks of amps blare sound that makes the hair on your arms stand up and the floor shake...

Glad to hear the show was an experience.
I prefer live music for that very reason!

Been working like a mad man. Heading off to Iceland, Norway, and England (brief stop) in one week. With the new economic woes it can't be the best time to travel but seize the fucking day!

In other news, I'm glad to be biking daily in SF and not waiting in line for gas in Atlanta.

I'll have to track down some of y'all that...

Hey you! You should be glad you're not waiting in line. I'm moving to New York soon and it's given me another reason to be happy about it.smile
_bossanova_:
Thanks, mister! Definitely let me know if you visit New York. I miss the old school SG ATL group so much!frown

Wow. My friends page is officially a ghost town. I've met some great people through this site but it's been quite a while since I've been keeping tabs around here and it shows. I believe my subscription is coming up...

In case I drop off like so many others, best wishes to all! Fond memories go out to my favorite ATLiens along with the Brits...
