Been a while. Working very hard. Found out there is actually surf here after 7 years of living here. Getting readdy to work and hopefully even play some music at the Asia X Games in Shanghai. MIDI is a possibility too. Let me know if any of you Asia folks are going. Hope all is well with all of you~~

judging by the picture, it looks like you took it right outside my window!
i've also dreamed about surf on the mainland. there is actually some surf in HK...at certain times. i have heard about consistent surf on hainan as well...but i don't buy it.
w/ all this coastline you would think there is somewhere where we could sift thru the plastic bags and old shoes, and enjoy the waves of southern china.
keep it reelz

Yeah Beijing weather is terrible. I wouldn't really want to live there anymore, it's way overcrowded too.

I'm back...had a rough time trying find an efficient way to get dollars back to the states to pay my bill. Finally got an acount set up in Hong Kong.

My company is fucked for the time being because my partner had second thoughts about the risks of doing business in China. Doing corporate English training until I figure out a way to...

flooding huh? that sucks! i hope it starts to clear up soon - and cool off for that matter, is it still hot and muggy out there? san francisco was great, we went all over the place like fort point, legion of honor, fishermans wharf, haight ashbury, and we were staying at union square. actually, that is where my boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me on our last night there! it was perfect, very pretty. i loved the cold weather. it was nice to ecape the heat, i wish i could have brought those temperatures with me back to the desert here.

Had an interesting day today. Rode my bike to take some pix of the anti-Japan protests and wound up right in the middle of it. It was pretty peaceful in general but a lot of built up anger is coming out against the Japanese. Seemed like most of the people were there to gawk from the sidelines at a specactle that is relatively uncomon here...

Yeah, the food is pretty good here, but there is a lot of seafood, which is good for some people, but not for me, i don't really dig on it all that much. I have a river near me but if i go anywhere within a 1/2 i'm at the sea, but xiamen is one place that i go to alot and it is right on the water, well it's more of an island, but it reminds me of toronto, but it's cleaner, which as you know is pretty hard to find in china.

i'm not sure if you have checked this web site out or not www.alibaba.com it has a list of tons of contacts with factories and what they supply and everything, if you haven't checked it out it is defenatly worth it. i think i'm gonna try to get into dealin some pearls, apparently they are extremely cheap here, so i'm goin to look into it during the may day. hope fully everything works out, that way i'll be able to make some money while i'm home for the summer

but yeah check that site out if you haven't

I've never actually travelled outside of the US before, but I really want to. I've considered the east pretty heavily, primarily China or Japan. I've been doing some reading up and I was wondering what you thought? Hong kong seems nice, but I really want to go to some other places as well, really soak in the culture. Any personal favorite provinces? Areas?

Just moved to Shenzhen, across the border from Hong Kong. My neighborhood is total chaos of killer HK style seafood houses, shady businessmen, late night clothing stores, hookers, massage joints, street vendors, pickpockets, beggars, giant fruit stands, coffee/ tea houses, hundreds of people out at all hours of the night, etc. In other words, I love it! Beijing definitely has more culture, better clubs, music...

what do you mean? There are tons of manufacturers here. The wholesale markets are really fun. I can make a great suit for about $80.
