Good morning SG Land. I've been a busy bee, freshly waking up from my hibernation session that lasted most of November and December. News news news that nobody reads but me! [But I update every month or so for the sake of posterity and wandering eyes] I'm possibly probably most likely moving to the SF bay area in a few short months! My employers are moving to Alameda so I'm looking for cheap rooms for rent in and around that area. I've found a couple promising leads in Oakland that I'm trying really hard not to set my heart on, just in case they don't pan out, but so far every contact I've made with folks advertising on Craigslist has been positive. Let's hope it lasts til summer, when I'll be moving.
And I guess that means it's time to start seriously planning my college edjacation. Yes edjacation is a most important stage in a young or old person's life, when we're forced to take classes that really mean nothing and put ourselves into debt for the sake or a piece of paper with a sticker on it saying that you done real good.
Wait that's not right! I'm supposed to be excited about going back to school! So far I haven't found a justification for spending all that money to achieve a distant, unknown goal, but I think it's probably best if I just don't worry about that for now and just do it. Plus college will be a venue to meet people and make friends since I'll be new in town. Friends are surprisingly easy to make when you just put yourself out there. What a revelation!
Anywho I should be off to work out and clean up the apartment. Also going to ponder my dreams from last night, which I don't fully remember but left a lasting impression. I know in part of it, my friend Kat was with me and we were waging an epic battle with some orc-like creatures in a large circular tower of a massive castle. It was dark and stormy just like the castle in that one My Little Pony movie where the dragons steal the ponies. It was something straight outta Lord of the Rings, which I can't stand. After I had escaped the castle, I was standing outside with a couple of my comrades bathed in the afterglow of the hard fight. Then it dawned on me that I knew the story that we were just living out, I was like "Hey is this from the Silmarillion?"
And Kat said that it was from a different story, but the name she used was gibberish, probably because my dream self couldn't come up with another of Tolkein's books. He had a vast imagination, but his storytelling was dry beyond belief.
I'll be off now! Time waits for no man!
