Right now I have a list of stuff I should be doing, but the first thing I need to do chronologically is shower (actually, it may also be the first in terms of importance too. I'm all icky) and 2 of my uncles are upstairs on my parents' deck fixing something and taking the ladder they left behind when they built said deck, so I'm gonna have to wait for them to go away before I can shower since I have this weird thing about not putting clothes on while still damp from the shower and you can't not be damp in our bathroom after a shower. So I figured I'd post a catchup post. I don't know how you people who post every other day or whatever do it; I'm far too lazy to keep that nonsense up.
The last time I posted was the day of the Apocalypse Kow Kristmas Kabaret, which went swimmingly. I didn't forget any of the melodies despite having not sung them since last year, though honestly, they're Christmas carols and I'd have to turn in my white suburbanite chick badge if I couldn't sing the ones we sang. I also mentioned being done my exams; I've gotten 4 of my 5 marks back and I got 3 B-s and an A (the A was in acoustic phonetics. I for one am deeply shocked) and the 5th mark is in Sociology and I don't know what's taking him so damn long. On the note of schooling, I invite you to go to my livejournal and check out the most recent post, which is about my psych prof. Anyway, that evening of drinking at freakpirate's was pretty damn awesome, as most of you probably know from reading his journal.
I don't recall doing anything particularly exciting between then and Christmas. I think I mostly sat around and wasted time on the computer and read the books I have out from the library that are due back today.
For Christmas, I had three family dinners in three days: mr_dave's family on the 24th, my mom's side at my cousin's house on the 25th, and my dad's side here at my house on the 26th. I had to clean my room before they came over, because my aunt and uncle from Calgary were sleeping in my bed while I went to sleep at Dave's. Dave helped, for which I am eternally grateful, because I'll honestly tell you right now that I probably would've just stared at it for a while and not really gotten anything useful done on it. Now most of my crap is either in one of four boxes or in my closet. It's very exciting. My room hasn't been this clean in... well, a long time. Years, probably, to be honest.
I think next year I'd like to do Christmas cards rather than worrying about getting presents for people, in general. I think Dave's anti-consumerism has rubbed off on me a bit. Also I'm lazy. (My uncles are gone now so the rest is gonna be a bit brief.)
New Year's was a lot of fun. I hope someone has a picture of my outfit, because I didn't take any and I probably won't wear it again. The evening at misguided's was a good time, too, so
to all of you who bailed
and tilpacer, Michele and danny_g are ++awesome for coming up from Calgary.
New Year's Day we went to the house of some of the members of the previously mentioned Kow for a big brunch thing that is apparently a recurring New Year's thing for them. It was very tasty and I only burned myself a little cooking the bacon.
Today I need to run out to the liberry to drop off these books, run to the fabric store to finish a Christmas present (hush, I'm awesome), find the information my cousin sent me so I can finally send it in to the cruise people and also call die_erlkonig to get his, and if I have time after that call Awasis in the hopes that we can have some hangouts. Whee! Tomorrow I'm putting my resume in at the call centre in the hopes that they'll hire me and give my dad the referral bonus, calling my co-prettifier to go for tea and going to karaoke. Thursday, I'm calling the chick who plays the highest bells so we can have hangouts too.
On a final note, here is what my schedule looks like for the year, so hopefully I can find a job at which I can just work Mondays and Wednesdays during the day:

Also, you lot should totally pop down here in late March and catch Three Musketeers. Between myself, Michele, AC and whatnot I bet we can house as many of the Edmonton crowd as can be convinced to come. Also, after the Khristmas Kabaret night Team Scorpio owes Team Edmonton a kick-ass house party.
I have labcoats! I just need to remember them for next time...
A fountain made with some sort of red carbonated beverage would be fantastic also.
