Well, apparently someone wanted me back here. I've been reactivated.

My life has changed quite a lot in the last year and a half; maybe I'll manage to update this with some of those details soon.

Yeah, I got an anonymous reactivation, too. Personally, I think it is membership granting fairies, or at least fairies interested in pumping up the user numbers before second quarter so they can keep their advertising rates solid, or something to that effect.

I haven't posted since April. And this isn't really a post

But my convocation went well.

The job hunt is still on. If anyone has a lead on a job that will pay me well, allow me to leave at 3:30 every Wednesday, and allow me to leave for a week in January and another one in May, let me know. Preferably a non-crappy job.

If you'd looked over when the kid was buying the car you would have seen me flailing my arms and cringing.
They were big enough douchebags to put the Beetle RIGHT THERE!!

Happy birthday!

Still writing the paper of the previous post. Nearly done, though.

I think the ctrl button should be below the spacebar.

Tizzurkey weekend!

I know! My purple is fading to an icky grey and I'm tres frustrated with it...my little sister just dyed her hair brilliant pink and I'm quite jealous. I may just have to go back to black frown
orangeinfinity:
lol but it always goes to GREY! My hair seems to have this red undertone that rejects EVERYTHING. I've been bleach blonde and that worked out okay, but then I have to dye it like, every three weeks. I'm thinking I might go with blue-black, or back to a chocolatey-brown color...

The K in Philip K Dick stands for Kindred.

I totally want to name one of my kids Kindred now.

So I'm in the Rutherford library, taking a swift break from the research for the very last paper I'll ever write for my undergrad degree (which, incidentally, is also probably the last chance I have to screw up getting the undergrad degree: if I just...

Sounds like you've picked yourself both a bad, and excellent topic.

if you can pull it off, it'll be great.

but, I'm guessing with lack of crit's on adams... makes it slightly slippery

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great. smile
s_eldorado:
That is supremely excellent! Congratulations!

To my shame I haven't read any PKD yet nor seen "A Scanner Darkly" but it is high on my list and with a middle name like "Kindred" I find myself even more compelled.

I did call but she missed it. I left a drunken message instead.

And I looked for you when I left but couldn't find you so I thought you two had buggered off. I was sad.

Awww! You really liked my writing! wink

Have a great day! biggrin

Yay for metallic blue! And you managed to look so happy with a head covered in tin foil.

You should have done it sooner! Think how wonderful that would have been on St. Paddy's day!

So I just burned myself a new CD... I was making a mix for someone else but it sort of stopped being the one I intended to make for her. So, I'm going to burn her a copy to go with the one I do make for her, but really it's sort of for me.

ETA: Turns out, this isn't a good driving mix. It...

But, a lot of the really fun karaoke songs are sung by males....I tend to like those ones better anyway. I really don't get out to karaoke enough this semester.

Google tells me I've never made a post detailing just what "highly adulterated" means. So I thought I'd make a random post about it. My apologies if the images are too small to make sense of. If this turns out to be the case for people other than me, I'll repost the images in a larger size (guaranteed to screw up on the SG journal...

Well son of a bitch. I thought I might have used that one, but I didn't write down the date on my list...

In my defense, I never claimed to suffer from rare conversational difficulties. Common they may be, they remain irritating.

So basically, you give that blog a B-? wink

yeah I don't think anyone should 'have' to take the pill. I mean in a perfect world, I definitely wouldn't want dasha to take it because it does increase your risk of a lot of problems. But in her case; it decreases one MAJOR problem, that, like I said, she's almost sure to get if she doesn't use the pill, which is apparently the only thing that will reduce her risk of getting this type of cancer. Otherwise, she almost surely will get it, and by the time she's 30 or 35 too. It happened to her mother, and her grandmother, and her aunts, and it's almost certainly going to happen to her.

My sister is the worst offender for using her period as an excuse to be an out and out jerk to me and never appoligze. I thought it was funny when S. said "you're dealing with nurses here" because my mom's a nurse, and she's also one of the worst offenders here, and lets my sister get away with it constantly. It's probably because my mom also thinks it's acceptable to behave completely irreproachable at these times. Actually my Mom has always found it acceptable to be a complete jerk at any time of the month and generally not appologize. Maybe twice ever.

Michele's post and Freakpirate's post pretty much describe how my reading week went.

Plus, after hanging out with wrin on Monday night, I handed in a paper late but within my second deadline on Tuesday before we left, and yesterday I went to choir, then to Red Deer with the family for lunch with more family for my dad's, nana's, and cousin's birthdays, then came...

People seem to enjoy the news that I'm finding on the nets. I'm not just looking at the computer, I'm also interacting!
Plus we have to check imdb periodically for movie info. And I stole danny_g's lappy so he can't just work on his script. I'm making him interact more.

I might just be lame. tongue
jdrook:
You were in town last week and I'm only finding out now?!?

What a cruel world with cruel friends in it! blackeyed

Probably has something to do with my own random reading habits and the innate ability to be working somewhere whenever fun plans emerge.

I did find the bathroom floor present. I may have just laughed at you. biggrin

^^ I missed the ramekin inversion threats! Clearly you need to be mic'd or have some sort of helmut cam to record your late night hilarity.
