Our concert on Monday went pretty damn well. I think I may have screwed up minorly once or twice... but that's okay. It was fantastic anyway. Also, Jared, our accompanist, becomes more and more one of my favourite people every time I see him.
For example, he lent me the soundtrack for Wicked: A New Musical on Sunday night. I couldn't sleep that night for about an hour after I laid down because I stayed awake listening to it. Wicked is my new favourite thing of life. It is a musical based on the book by Gregory Maguire of the same name, based on the life of the Wicked Witch of the West. I can't stop listening to it. I probably should, or I'll get sick of it... if that's possible.
I just wrote a page and a half of a paper that's over two weeks overdue that I've been avoiding for no good reason. There are crappy reasons, such as my two mindsets that totally fuck me over when I am trying to write long papers, which are:
"I must write the whole paper at once"
"The first draft must be of final draft quality"
I don't know why I have these... no wait. Yes I do. It's because I've always always written my papers within a day or two of the day they're due. In the past, if I haven't written them this way, I've been late handing them in. So for this paper I've been ridiculously intimidated by the fact that it's so long, and will take me a few hours to write... or something. Hell, I don't know.
In any case. It's started now, so I have no excuse not to finish it. (In my head, I added "Eventually." after that sentence, and I think that's part of the problem.)
In other news, I'm going to get my hair dyed and cut on Thursday morning, so the damn paper had better be done by then or I'll be very unimpressed with myself for rewarding myself for not doing my work. ... like I usually do.
I'm not sure where this was all supposed to be going. I think I'd better go message the dave and go to bed so I can wake up in the morning and get another half hour in on this paper before I go to school. This means getting up at 7:15 so I can shower and be working by 8 so I can leave by 9 to make it to school for 10. Stupid living in St. Albert.

I loathe the stupid bus schedule to get from pretty much anywhere in Edmonton to St.Albert. The dial-a-bus always tends to pick the times when Im having the worst day to go drop one person off in oakmont, where I live in Akins, one of the closest places to the starting point
