The end of term demands a new entry...So, I'm officially ABT; should I be proud? tired? A member of that other group of intellectual slackers. Ho hum. Officially, too, I am unemployed. Overeducated to do...nothing. Do I whine? I've been trying to use the time wisely--traveling, reading, applying to jobs (only half of which I would ever want to do)...I suppose the true benefit of...

I've been trying to add a new (once monthly, it seems) entry, but the screen keeps flicking me around to all manner of other porn sites...the ones with women baring huge fake tits. puke
Two weeks left of spring term, then...? Then I shall really have to sit and finish that thesis. And find work. Anyone want to hire me? I could be an environmental scientist/educator,...

Sweet Blume,

Please forgive me for not writing with more frequency. I really enjoyed our afternoon talk and hope to see you again once your school term is complete.

Hugs and well wishes!

Perhaps if I didn't write or teach or negotiate problems all day long, I'd have more energy for keeping a journal...Maybe I rationalize because I can't stand small talk; honestly, there's too much going in the world...Maybe I don't take myself seriously enough to believe that others care what wine I drank last night...Maybe I'm just too serious? confused
I wish I knew a better way...

You can write about anything in your journal. And don't think of it as a journal. That sound so damn serious. Just think of it as a place to weed and nurture your thoughts. Kind of like a garden, but a small patch of words you tend and allow others to visit.

Thank you for the life that springs forth from within! love love love

It's the last week of term...I think I'm going crazy...too too much to do in life. I long for summer! The idea of living close to temperate rain forest is much more enticing than the reality...Did you know that the Sitka spruce zone here in the PNW gets more rain than the tropics? Allright enough academics, enough whinning. A trip to Cuba is in the...

Wow! Trip to Cuba... I've known a friend who studied there for a semester and really loved the experience, not the warmth. tongue My girlfriend is someone similar to that... She's studied in Brazil over the Summer and loved the country, could've done without the tropical temps. Duhh!? biggrin It's tropical!

Hi sweetie! kiss

Yay spring! It has been glorious for days and days. So much sunlight. It almost seems liquid and tangible on skin and senses. (Although after my wicked sunburn , I'm ready for clouds and lovely rain again. Love the sound of falling water.)

We should definitely try to get together. I could probably do wine or tea sometime on Thursday or maybe next week? Beloved and I are going to the beach this weekend. (it is our 10 wedding anniversary. blush love If it didn't kick ass so much, it would almost make me feel old. )

What kind of seeds are you planting? (I need to get mine in the dirt too. Spring waits for none once she has begun!)

I just finished yet another paper...All of this compulsory time in front of the computer has put me in a "Rage Against the Machine" mood. To be done! Perhaps it's the red wine talking...Whichever, I'm in Catholic school garb waiting for my Love to make it home. Why not? After all, it's the weekend! wink

Hi, love your pics.
starisea:
Did I mention that you are adorable? love

(Teehee! I am flirty girl tonight, but Catholic school girl garb . . . mmmmmmm. blush )

Did you make it out to the Burlesque? I heard that it was very good, but I just wasn't in the mood for social outings last week. Sigh . . . of course there are always many more opportunities to meet for coffee, dinner, drinks or shows.

Toys are ever so much fun! I was shopping for toys last weekend and ran into the lovely Flux at Spartacus. She was very sweet when I said "hi", and encouraged me to come out for more of the SGPDX events, so I will have to get my groove shoes on (and obviously, I have been practicing up on my drinking. Giggles!)

Take care and don't let grad school wipe you out.

I'm a thirty-something??? A few years ago flying to my (then-home) St. Louis, a flight attendant asked me if I was old enough--sixteen--to be sitting in the emergency row! I like to think it's my being petite (as opposed to my behavior)... wink
I'm off tonight to one of those home tupperware-esque sex toy parties. An excuse to have an all girls night; who could resist?...

what are you studying in school ?
starisea:
Yep! Marriage rocks! biggrin love biggrin
(We will be celebrating the anniversary of year 10 in April. Whoooooie! time flies!)

Actually, I'm a westside kid. That is part of why it was so amazing to see Hood. Those days just don't happen very often.

Yeah . . . it took me a couple of really unpleasant bitterly cold days at the oregon beaches before I learned to always, always, always overdress for the beach. That north pacific wind can be a real bitch! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! But I still love the beaches even when they are ever so chilly. This is the best time of year to go tidepooling. I envy your beach trip. I gotta get out to the coast sometime soon.

How was the "sex toy" party? wink blush
