I'm currently in the process of bleaching my hair. I'm feeling blonde-ambitious. As you can tell from my pictures it's not going to be an easy ride. I've done so much to my hair over the last ten years that I feel pretty confident I can do it. I was looking through some old pictures and came across some of me with almost platinum hair...

You know what I don't get? Why do people say, "She wants to have her cake and eat it too?" I mean, who doesn't? Who wants cake if you can't eat it?

gwendolyn:
You are gorgeous, and your style in your pictures is really cute.
juliana:
Welll, maybe a baker would do such a thing.

Anyway, I prefer saying (if i had to chose a cliche) "She's made her bed and now she has to lie in it."

... wow. "She"'s really having a bad time with it all, isn't She.

I got new shoes today. Yay!! I love getting new shoes. I think it's my second favorite thing in the world next to sex! Oh, and the Chipotle vegetarian burrito bowl. Which, incidentally, I also had today.

As for my shoes, I got this great pair of Chuck Taylors for a steal! They're black with pink tongues and I actually fit into the children's size...

well, it seems that we're on opposite ends of the same spectrum...if you want/need any advice on where to look for restaurant work in Lawrence, don't hesitate to ask. i worked at quite a few different places there, and may be able to help. have you ever worked in a restaurant before?

the intense heat of kansas summers is bad enough all by itself, but it's the humidity that really got to me. something about that particular combination just makes me see red...i used to get so irritable in the summers there - and only one of the many apartments i had there ever had central air. ugh. (if it makes you feel any better, though, i have it on good authority that it was something like +32 today in Alberta.)

and yes - it is a small world. she lives in Calgary. Canada does indeed rock. i miss it, too. things have been too hectic for me to go there at all yet this year...but my luckytwoonie still sits secreted away in my wallet - never know when it's gonna come in handy. smile

p.s. - just in case you didn't know, Chipotle Grill is owned by McDonalds. not that you should stop eating there or anything (i hit it up when i'm in Kansas...the burrito bowl is pretty damn good), but i'm guessing thatyou're a vegetarian, and so i thought you should know.

Well!... Speak of the Devil, and the Devil speaks of Chipotle. (and its association with corporate evil)

See what a small world, Daisy? Everybody is from Kansas.

Have you scop'd out sufficient amounts of tail yet? Juliana wants to know!!

And i don't mind long boring stories. Why the name change? (although it's not like we were attached just yet.. you were biffy for what, all of 1 week?) Daisy it is!

I went bra shopping today, it was so depressing! I can't even tell you how many I tried on (ok, I can - it was 8) and I didn't find a single one I liked. Why is it so hard to find one that fits like I want it to AND looks good under t-shirts? mad

hey there...

followed a link to your page through Juliana's - she tipped me off that you live in Lawrence. i used to live there, too - left in '99 for the greener pastures and bluer oceans of the S.F. bay area.

so how did you end up in Lawrence?
echofonic:
wow - three cats - thats a bundle of craziness, for sure. i've thought about getting another cat for suki to be with, but she's a bit..um...posessive of me and the place we share, so i think she's happiest being the queen of the household.

and double-wow: i've been dating a canadian girl for well over a year, now...and of course, i met her via the internet as well. how interesting. where in canada are you from?

what made me move to CA? well, i'd been through here (S.F.) a few times, and i was reallyreallyreally ready to move on from Lawrence. i wanted to live someplace that was completely different than where i was from, and wasn't ready or able to make the leap out of the country at that time. the weather was a big factor, too - i hate those extreme sinters/summers. i do miss the thunderstorms, though...

Someone told me recently that I look like an anime character. I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or an insult...

Why do I feel like the new girl in school? blush

We went to the Tattoo Rendezvous in KC today, it was disappointing. Not much to see.

I'm so happy because we're getting some money at the end of the week and I'll finally be able to get my angel tattoo finished. I've been so excited to get it done, I can't wait!! Plus, I get to get some new clothes. Woo-hoo!

You're right, of course. Little clothing= Maximum profit.
Thank you for your input.

Lawrence, Kansas is a weird recurring stat nowadays, in my life. My crush is from thereabouts. :::silly grin::: So's his best friend. And so was almost everyone I met at one bar, this one night. It was surreal.

How am I ever going to find time to do anything else now that I have a suicidegirls membership? I mean, really?!

Actually, both hubby and I are looking for jobs right now and that really sucks. He was a courier and got in his second serious accident in less than a year (and incidentaly lost our second car). He wasn't hurt this time (he...

Well HELLO there!

It sounds like you're having a heck of a time! Yes, everyone wants experience but no one is willing to train. I dunno how I came upon this job the way I did, but I'm grabbing it... Although who knows how long it'll last, really? My part of town is full of clubs and bars that have changed over so many hands in the past 2 years, it's not even funny. Apparently, you're not an establishment until your joint has had at least 3 different names.

Good luck, anyway. We all need employment.

P.S. Are all the gorgeous people from lawrence, kansas nowadays?

what a lovely pressy from my loving husband - a suicide girls membership. He must love me... or love that I get "worked up" after looking at beautiful women. One of the two.

So anyway, I'm off to take in the sites. Yum.
