ok, you may not find this very exciting, but I do. This morning I brewed the perfect pot of jasmine green tea. We're talking amazing here. I have the Yin Hao Jasmine Green tea from Peets which is amazing when brewed right, but it's a pretty tempermental tea. It's all to easy to make a bitter or overpowering or just too weak pot of this...

I love tea. My favorite kind is a blend called Evening Comfort. It has ginger in it and lots of other soothing spices and mints. It's from the Chado Tea Room here in LA. Ask me about it, if you don't already know it coolness. I am leaving out of town on a whirlwind trip. Peace to you. - JAse
As my crazy life is settling a bit, I'm back to spending much of my free time reading and drinking tea, and I can't think of a better way to spend my days.
And that's all the entry my brain can muster at the moment.

Mmmm. That's the life. What kind of tea? Please tell.
retroactivwe:
Tea and reading are very relaxing, except if it's peyote tea and the book is by Hunter S Thompson, in which case it's not.
I came home to Ace of Base blasting on the stereo system and it actually put me in a really good mood. It made me remember countless afternoons spent in my neighbor's room making up choreographed dances to every song on the album. We should have taken that shit on tour.

I've been so busy that I think I've forgotten how to relax. I'm having a really hard time sitting here with nothing to do.

I watch those who can just go "plunk" over and the top of their chest is on the ground and they look like they are about to just take a nap and it makes me so furious.

yea, I really want a motorcycle, but I know I'd kill myself on it.
when are you coming to Portland?
when are you coming to Portland?
After all the business and craziness of this week, all I want to do is lie down and nap, but alas it is my turn to clean the kitchen (aka scrub floors and counters with bleach) and living room and bathroom (more scrubbing and bleach)
I did, however, have a wonderful night last night. Date night. Dinner at Buccatini and then ice cream and then...

awesomeness for getting stuff done.
I've driven 14 hours in the past three days. I guess it's not really all that much. It's just a lot for me. The drive home this morning was a piece of cake, because since I left at 5am there was no one on the road, no traffic, just smooth sailing through central california.

so the first round of driving is done...I drove to a from Santa Cruz yesterday for an audition. Luckily, the audition went really well so it was worth the 8 hours spent in the car. Now everybody cross your fingers so I can get paid this summer.

My jaw is in a bad way. I've got a mild to moderate case of TMJ, because apparently I clench my jaw in my sleep. I'm convinced that it's got something to do with blow jobs. At any rate, my jaw has been popping and/or getting stuck and hurting a lot lately.
So what does all of this mean?

Why do teachers insist on making you write long papers for them at the end of the quarter? Especially long bullshit papers. All they do is stress you out for no reason, force your teacher to spend hours and hours reading and grading, and waste a crapload of pristine white paper. Ugh. I am not going to miss this about college.

Going skiing in Tahoe?
The beauty of the Computer Science and Media Studies majors was that none of them really required long papers. Any serious project in media studies could be covered by a film. It took three times as long but it was so much more interesting.

Hmmmm, the end of one thing and the start of another. I fucking hate transitions.
All I want is another bagel and cream cheese, but this little Beezer is feeling like a big ol' hunk o chunk, so I think I'll skip it.
Last night at a party I wore 5'' stilettoes and aerated the lawn. It's pretty hard to balance when you're a few...

Excellent work! You can't maintain a character who is so radically different from yourself, through so long a performance, without really doing your homework. I totally believed Yasmin's desperation and indignance. Some nice nuances, too, like I noticed that her strongest connection was with the other Muslim character (Abdul, I think). Would you say that's accurate? If so, is it because of their shared language?
It's hard to stand out in such a big production with so many characters in it and you did that, too -- commanded the space (a big one) without resorting to gross indicating while several other performers did fall into that trap. While you were lucky to get to play a part like that in such a well-mounted production of this great piece, the production was even luckier to have you. For real.
I think my favorite part was around the "story telling" scene. The actors really stopped performing for the audience and started to be present on stage in spite of (because of?) the fact that their characters were performing for each other. Aside from a few nitpicky things about performances in general and choices in scene-change music, I was really impressed. Pentecost is a long story, but your group got it across without its ever getting dull. Set, costumes and lighting were awesome. I'm glad I made the drive up!

glad things are going well, if hectic. I can't wait for you to be in SC, as my little brother lives there and will be staying for the summer (he and his girlfriend found the perfect apartment).
