I have the music from Commentary! The Musical and the new season of Flight of the Conchords battling it out in my head for sonic repetitive dominance.

I may play with that a bit later. I do have some thoughts on the artists you won't put into Pandora though: If you like Amy Winehouse, I bet you'd like the Detoit Cobras who have been around a bit longer and record mostly sixties surf rock b sides. Not exactly the same, but Rachel Naghy has a great voice.
You're right about Calexico, they're unique. When this happens, I usually wander off into the records of artists that are friends with, have recorded with or toured with the band in question. In Calexico's case, this lead me to Califone and Grizzly Bear. Actually, I found Calexico via this method through Neko Case (oh, the the places you can go following her musical friends list).

I love Pandora. I think my only problem with it is sometimes if I have it open in Safari, if I'm on another tab or window, it won't continue play after a song has ended until I return to the Pandora window. D:

Ah, but Internet waits for no one. Internet's the kind of guy that waits maybe a second for you at the appointed time then gets impatient and runs off and does whatever Internet does and then you catch up with him later and say, "dude, I was like 2 minutes late!" and internet comes back with "ah, well, you totally missed all the shit that went down!" and then goes on to talk about all of his hijinks and lojinks and you get all sad and resolve never to hang out with Internet again, but you always make plans with him anyway. We all do. He's just that kind of guy, and that's why I've joined the society to kill Internet, and end his rein of punctuality and good times.

I think that there is a reason to trot it out early but it's not worth getting into.
I finally vented a bit on the matter after really taking the time to figure out how to get around, and I feel a little better in sort of condensing it down, but it still bugs me. And my eyes are kinda straining after a marathon journal-tagging session that felt tedious to get through. Despite a few things, I'll get used to it, but those things do legitimately bug me.
-I don't know why the profile pic makes me laugh a little.
