So today is my 30th birthday. What did I do?
Believe it or not, I came home around 9:30 PM when I left home at 9:30 AM. Whew! I cannot believe I spent 12 hours outside!
I went out first to Union Square to relax, and see new and classic books at the Strand. Then I met my friend Kwong, who needed a favor from me, which is okay, at least I got to be in the neighborhood of 50th Street and 6th Avenue (Rockerfeller Center). Then I met my best friend's boyfriend, which is such a coincidence! : ) Later on, I went to Ruby Tuesday..where I had such horrible service, as I waited 20 minutes without anyone going to me, or even asking what I want to drink. Oh well, no business for them. I left politely. I decided to take advantage of that and eat healthy instead, which leads me to..
City Bakery near Union Square to eat. Then I went to City Hall and walked to the Battery Maritime Terminal, to see the ferry to Governor's Island (which opens on Friday to Sunday). Then I walked along South Street to South Street Seaport, where I had raspberry yogurt, then I hung around the Gamestop video game store around there to check out any Wii games I might buy.
Finally, I went to my family's apt. I rested there for a while, and then we went to Jaya Malaysian Restaurant on 90 Batxter Street. It was nice! Though my mom ordered Cantonese style food, not Malaysian, which made me tell her to order Malaysian next time, as she said the Cantonese food was up to standardwell, duh, it's like ordering a burger in an Indian restaurantit just isn't possibly better.
Then I had an ice cream cake for my birthday. Yay!
Then I finally went home and nowI'm resting. Whew!
