Whew! What a week! I'm exhausted....ever since the downturn of the American economy, I haven't watched the news, so I have no idea what's going on, other than hearing what people say. I think that we have reached a "crisis point" or something like that, but it doesn;t seem so to me. I was lucky that my division (the whole floor) is moving to a...

It is my belief that Republicans won't watch the Presedential debate this year because they are scared they might have to give up their vote to Obama. They don't want to hear what really makes sense, probably due to embarassment...they are stuck in their ways, and ignorant. biggrin

So this morning, I got up early to watch the movie "Vicki Christina Barcelona"...damn, I enjoyed it. It's full of laughs, and Javier Bardem really impressed me with his acting.

Later on, I waltzed into three comic shops to look for Astro Boy Vols. 1 and 2, which none of them have...damn. I ordered through Amazon instead.

Then I went to my friend's BBQ party,...

So yesterday was my last day as a juror. We jurors never even made it to the opening statements. They apparently settled out of court. Four business days of waiting...still, it was a good and pleasant experience, and I did meet and talk to people. smile Plus, I will never get to see jury duty for seven years. When I returned to work yesterday afternoon, apparently,...

Let's see going to jury duty and going to work on the same day...then staying late at work a bit...makes me sleeeeeepppppyyyyyy....this civil trial will last two weeks, but until then, I should use my free time wisely. I might add there's a lot of fast food in Jamaica, Queens, I'm actually a few pounds heavier aftereating for two days. Wish me luck on my...

Thank you for the sweet compliment on my photography. I do really try to capture something "true" about the model's personality in each set. I hate doing the fake "i'm so sexy" that is just flat thing. It is SO nice to have positive feedback though! Thank you so much!

Have fun on jury duty. Here's the thing: I have never been on a jury, but I wish that I could just for the experience. Now that I'm almost out of law school it is HIGHLY unlikely that anyone would put me on a jury though. Oh well!

Jury Duty tomorrow, nuff' said. wink

Should be interesting, the court's in Jamaica, Queens....which I call the middle of nowhere. Geez, even Citysearch can't recommend a good lunch spot/restaurant...I'm sure there are though. smile
tabi:
hahaha at least you get paid for jury duty.

thanks for your thoughtful comment on my meandering blog o' depression...it's been a rough month or so emotionally, kind of came crashing to a breaking point last week and i just had to get it out. some stability is in the making...i have several short-term goals in the making, i just have to stay positive and work toward those relentlessly and things will start looking up. realize that it's a new chapter about to unfold and embrace it...
thanks again...it's comments like that that make me happy to be here.

So my second secret origin....let me start way at the beginning, before I was born.

During World War 2, my grandma, a daughter of a governor of a provence in China, met my grandfather, a doctor. My grandma says it was a combination of the Communist takeover and Japanese invasion of the Chinese mainland that caused her to move out of the provence. Then of...

thank you. i have been a manager, too, and i think he's really over-reacting. my issue is that they never came to me to ask my side...they heard things (and saw the one thing) and that was it, decision made. its ok...i didn't like their snobby little club anyways. i am at another club where they actually do like and RESPECT me.

as for that other stuff, yeah, i need to work on that...work=work, personal life=personal life. its just hard around here...hard to meet people outside of work.

Thank you for your comments on my previous blog. They are very much appreciated, and they are uplifting and unforgettable. BTW, I will be watching 'Dumbo". LOL. I also want to thank you for sharing your blogs and private thoughts. I feel honored to such a privilege.

Okay, my secret origin:

Born in August 18, 1978, I was born with an umbulical cord around my neck (whoops), and the doctor thought I was dead after he slapped on my butt 10 times without crying (I didn't feel anything, I swear). I then cried when he didn't slap my butt. Go figure.

So, was I hearing impaired then? Not sure. My mom figures...

I decided to reveal something of myself today: I'm hearing-impaired. smile

In my next blog, whenever it may be, I'll tell you how it was, why it was, and what I did about it. Yeah, I love closed-captioning. biggrin
tabi:
i know why already!! it's because i'm super special. wink

and yeah, i really hope the rain starts earlier tomorrow than it's supposed to, so maybe it clears up by noontime.

Today is work night, meaning I have to check on the workplace's programs remotely at home. Not a stinker at all, it's expected of my responsibilities. Promotion = more responsibilities. biggrin

And since I got to stay home and log in remotely, it's prety cool that I get to do what I like to do, though I have to check my Blackberry or laptop constantly.

So,...
