Sometimes I look at life in a strange way. Birth is a little like being tossed out of an airplane without a parachute. When we are kids, we don't really care because the falling is kind of fun. You look around to see billions of other people falling falling with you, and think how great this falling is.

The bliss of youth doesn't last so long.

Soon in the far off distance you see life smashing into the ground. Then everyone mourns for the fallen, ignoring we all are of the falling. As time goes on the ground gets closer, and we start to awaken to the idea that we will hit the ground too.

We all go splat. shocked

This view makes wars look a little silly to me. It's like doomed lemmings attacking each other on their way down off the cliff. Think it was Buddha that said (could be wrong) "What's the point of killing corpses?"

...Think I might take up skydiving... shocked

I always thought of it as some explosion, i guess everything up until birth would be the winding of the clock. It always made me curious why everyone has a different fall, or, rather different lifespan, if aging is celular decay cause by individual cells cloning themselves thousands upon thousands of times, then wouldn't all organisms have a very similar lifespan? it takes seven years for our body to cycle out all the old cells, every seven years, who we were no longer exists, humans are clones of dead people lol. Who knows... Free fall is amazing though, i really recommend it, it can truely put things in perspective... I both enjoy and hate it, because when i am in a high place i feel compelled to jump, sometimes i wonder if i could stop myself.

As for war... I think humans embrace misery because it comes so easily, you have to work at happyness, and misery just fills the voids and cracks like so much cheep cement. Humans are at their best when killing other humans, we are the only limiting factor left, besides nature, which actively limits the growth of our species. So nature made sure that the majority were naturally unhappy, insecure, and jealous.

death takes a lot away from people as far as power goes, i think thats why it is feared. As much as we think we control our lives, our fate, we don't, we all have the same destiny, I guess thats why ghost hunting intregues me so.

I am rambling though, I can ramble forever when I read an interesting post. Take care.
