If you have ever read the book "The Age of Spiritual Machines" by Ray Kurzweil you may get my concept, here. That, combined with the fact that I also like to say extremely blasphemous things sometimes (a trait that my grandparents would revile). I'm not a Satanist or anything but I love to go around at work and scream out "HAIL SATAN" because it makes people feel uneasy...fuckin' shit's hillarious! Well, that would make a Satanist proud. What can I say? I'm an irreverent man.
Anyway, in the above mentioned book, the author states his belief that in about 100 years (or 50 years or something) computer and cybernetic technology will be meshed in with Human bodies (as computer/mechanical enhancing implants) that we won't be able to tell where the Human ends and the Machine begins. (This would actually sidestep robots taking over and destroying Humanity because both sides would just blend together.) There is probably still the possibility that a pure Machine/Cyborg could be built with artificial intellegence.
Well, do you know the claim that many Christans make that there will be a second-comming of Jesus Christ? I wanted to make a story about an Android whom--after learning about the world and, among other things, about Christian prophecies-- comes to beleive that he is the second-comming of Jesus Christ...but as an android! That sounds funny as fuck, to me. I also like to think about extra-weird concepts and this idea sounds very intriguing.
I'd call it "Android Jesus"! It would be--all at the same time--hillarious, blasphemous, poignant, intriguing and all sorts of other cool pronouns. As far as the offense factor goes...well, I don't care. I've (as well as many other people in the world) had ton's of religious zealots throughout my life do the same to me by the usual means soooo..."Touche" or "Tit for Tat" or "Suck it" (to any offendees, not you, reader), I guess. It's not that I'm insensitive, I am a very empathetic man. I just don't care too much about arguing about what is, ultimately, trivial/intangible/undemonstrable perspectives of subjectivity. It'd be good to laugh about these things, anyway. I don't like to hold anything sacred, obviously, but that'll become clearer as this blog grows.
"Hail Satan!" all you good-ass people, you.
