i ran into a girl i used to work with. she lives in jersey now and i hadnt seen her in about a year. we both agreed our lives were really boring and unchanging now that we have kids (!!!! i dont think i really believe this even though thats how it feels often

boy naps, i start laundry

back to hospital
while i am visiting the evil one, two Drs come to take her blood. she says she's already given blood. she says her son checked her blood. she points to her IV bag (full of clear fluid) and says theres blood right there, take it from the bag, she says the Drs are going to make her late for lunch with the mayor. i spend hours trying to figure out how 'sane' she is. i realize that shes been pretty nutty for a aloooong time but within her own enviornment it seemed pretty normal. now, in the hospital, i suddenly wonder how much is a put on and how much is she out of it....
and, why does it matter? will it make a difference in her medical treatment? how i treat her?

my friend Z comes over. one of my oldest and dearest friends who just returned from a month in Iran came over to tell stories

sleep arrives at last
