I had dinner and drinks with a good girlfriend of mine last night and now I'm feeling the effects...champagne was fine but Nicaraguan rum was not a good idea. At least it was yummy.
I'm really trying hard to stay productive and not freak out about my move. I went to my condo yesterday to get some stuff I'd left there. I was shocked when I saw my place. The tenants aren't supposed to be smoking in there but it reeked. The carpet was a mess. The kitchen was nasty and the whole energy of the place was just awful. I met one of my tenants for the first time yesterday and I got a really bad vibe, like he's on something and it's not a happy thing for him. It was so sad to see my place, where I had such good times with my friends and family and had "a room of my own" in such a disgusting state. I can't wait to get settled into my new place and make it feel like my own.
My girlfriend wants to take me skydiving before I leave, the day after my going away party. I'd be fine with this, since I had a great time when I did it last year, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be hung over and I have to work that day. She's adamant that we do this, so we'll see what happens...hangover anxiety + general anxiety about jumping out of a plane is probably not a good combination.
Is is just me or did anyone else never imagine 8 years ago that things could get this bad in our country? Brazil's looking like the better option these days.

Oh, believe me. I too have utilized the schlepping skills of the little brother.
