Great weekend...I worked my ass off and met up with one of my favorite people, Llona (I really mean that) and a friend I saw earlier last week in NYC (happy surprise). We had drinks until the wee hours Saturday night and I brought some good bread, cookies, and best of all: chocolate croissants. I'm so rich in food working at this bakery, but somehow I've managed to keep losing weight. I think it's because the food's really high quality and seeing it all day, you just don't feel the need to eat too much. A taste of something is perfect.
I got some writing done this weekend, too, and I'm excited about it for the first time in a long time. It's fun again. I'm going to TN this week for a couple of days to read, write, and watch movies while the friend I'm visiting works. There's no way time off is happening anytime soon for him, so I'm keeping myself entertained, which is just fine. I still have Netflix movies I haven't watched that arrived before my vacation: Seven Samurai and documentaries on the Pixies and Fugazi.
Mad Men is amazing. I have to catch up on the first season, but holy shit if the aesthetic of the early 60's isn't making me incredibly hot. I feel like an old person watching AMC, but it's so delicious.
I'm still on a Stax kick:
