I answer questions on my Tumblr from time to time, and this one from today felt worth crossposting here.

the-eru-anne asked:

Good sir, what advice, if any, would you have for an aspiring actor? More so along the lines of – where in the world does one start if they cannot afford an agent? Because finding oneself work seems almost impossible. Or maybe I just...

@wilwheaton Great advice!

Awesome advice.   Also, I can't stand reality shows.  Can't stand.

This has been on my mind for the last few days, as I’ve watched a loud and determined bunch of unhappy people do their best to make happy and successful people feel as bad as they do.

Everyone who becomes a fully-functioning adult — every single one of us — goes through a time in our lives when we are a shit. The difference between...

Reminds me a bit of a John Carpenter track, which I mean as a compliment.
baalseraph:
Sounds pretty good so far. I'll have my gf listen to it, she's much more into Dark Ambient, but I'm sure she'll like it. :)

Taking walks, by myself and taking walks with Seamus and Marlowe.

Exercising several times a week.

Keeping close track of what I’m eating and drinking.

Caring for my physical and mental health.

Reading more books.

Taking pictures.

Writing jokes.

Cleaning up after myself.

Holding hands with my wife.

Sitting with my therapist and talking it out.

Fitter, happier, more productive.

Missing my dog.

"Holding hands with my wife" made me smile, simple joys of simple closeness.

all the best to you!

Thirteen years is a long time to spend with any living thing, and losing a companion that loved unconditionally and as enthusiastically as my little white dog did is tearing holes in my heart.

I’m trying so hard to get on with my life, but whenever I think I’m making some progress, and moving through the grief process, I see Riley out of the corner...

My understanding is that a loss like this has to hurt but we all process the event in our own time and come to terms with it, my point being that we don't need to take any action to "get over it" or make it better. I imagine you know all this but it's all I have. It does make me happy to know that so many people appreciate what a fine person you are and care about your feelings. That's a ray of hope in a world that seems much of the time to have lost its way.
totem:
So sad. I'm sorry for your loss.

Aw, that's a lovely sentiment. Let's bring it back!
javamanjaro:
There was a time. The only reason I'm here with a fresh account is there was some technical quirk about reactivating my old one, which never got resolved. As a result, it is extremely difficult to not bring up "the good ol' days," but I honestly could do that about any community I've been a part of. They grow, they change, they are dynamic. It is both weird and interesting to me.

I’m not quite ready to announce the details of the world we created for our RPG show, but I am ready to show this little glimpse of it, and I encourage you to make of it what you will…

We're shooting the Tabletop RPG show all this week. Yesterday was our first day of production, and we had so much fun, eleven hours of nonstop work flew by in a flash. In fact, at the end of the day, one of the players said to me, "that's it? I want to keep playing!"

We're going to be slowly announcing details about the show all...

You should try Mansions of Madness on one of Tabletops episodes! It's incredibly fun. One of my favourite scenario is the one with the time machine.

Can't wait for this! Me and the guys try to get together a few times a month to play. Been playing Eclipse, and Call of Cthulhu lately.

Can I come over and play Dragon Age?” My son asked me.

“Sure. I’m just going to watch more Land of the Lost tonight, so knock yourself out.” I said.

Ryan doesn’t have Dragon Age at his house, and when he was house sitting for me a few weeks ago, he fell in love with it the same way I did. He likes to unwind...

OMG, is it so bad that i had to look up "mister Do"?
wizard0:
Awesome!  I used to play Mr do on my commodore 64!  Very similar to dig-dug.  Still have the working commodore, but damned if I can remember how to do anything with it.  Sad times.  I had hundreds of arcade games on that.  Love the story!  You're never too old to have an epiphany about family!

Normally, I’m pretty good with words. At the moment, I’m not at my best, for reasons I hope are self evident. However, I’m going to do my best to remember someone who gave more to my life than he ever knew.

I never got to know Leonard Nimoy the way my fellow cast members did, so I can’t remember him in the personal way that...

In the upcoming Firefly Online game, I get to be the voice of the male avatar!!

This just in from Firefly Online HR: Wil Wheaton has joined the FFO voiceover team and...
