"Experience proves that the man who obstructs a war in which his nation is engaged, no matter whether right or wrong, occupies no enviable place in life or history. Better for him, individually, to advocate "war, pestilence, and famine," than to act as an obstructionist to a war already begun. The history of the defeated rebel will be honorable hereafter, compared with that of the...

I can see why you recommended Stephen Hunter; he makes John Milius look like Rosie O'Donnell. Good writer though.

Did you steal that sign from a homeless person? I always give my change to the homeless people with awesome signs.
Oh dude, this is fucking sick. This would have turned me queer.

I'm so good at e-stalking it's scary. I discovered my old gf's LiveJournal page through cyber-snooping today. She's so smart and funny, I miss her (that's why I was looking for any news or trace of her on the internets). She's such a good writer and entertaining storyteller, her letters and emails were always kick-ass. She has like 3+ years of entries that she's accumulated,...

But I guess if Rush was his British euivalent (Richard Littlejohn) he would call him "Elton Joe"

Never worry about underestimating my knowledge!
Do you own a Che Guevara sweatshirt?
Did you wear it to a Dave Matthews concert last year?
Did you get beaten up by a group of pissed-off Cubans?

Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk,
(I will be drunk),
At home as in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer, The bitter and The lager....

Bloody Mary, gets me faced,
When bored of whiskey,
Perferred art thou among drinks,
But when I go to the bathroom... Jesus!
Bloody Mary, paid for by sinners,
Now, Happy Hour, and Closing Time.

Man, the more I learn about the political and social culture of New Orleans, the gladder I am I live in the Holy City of Anchorage. Whole new appreciation for my town.

I've always wondered if some horrible crises occured if the people in my community would come together relatively harmoniously or if it would be a more horrific experience.
My cynical and paranoid side believes that since I don't have a gun and have poor vision, with only contacts (no glasses) to help me see, that some gun owning thug will take my girlfriend into his harem and force me to dig for grubs in whatever post-catastrophe world I find myself in.
What happened in New Orleans made me feel less crazy in a sense that I'm not delusional in fearing this scenario. Am I right in deducing that Anchorage is a pleasant exception to this sort of social meltdown?

My problem, Evan, is that you are intentionally degrading and insulting a group of people that have lost everything in their lives, as it is happening. Not only are you trying to rile people up, but you are pissing all over people who desperately need help, merely to play the troll role.
I think it's a fucking shameful thing to do, no matter who it is or what political views they hold.

Ha, well that is weird
I tend to drink a lot of beer. And when the puritan side says you drink too much, and I do so I stop, horrible things happen.
Specifically, things in my feet. Very bad pains. It hobbles me and I deal with this, go to the doctor, who says nothing's wrong. So I should just cope and entually it'll heal...

Why do beverage companies hide the truth about the harmful health effects of consuming their products to absurd excess?

Personally, I think you should have mentioned what the japanese were doing at the time to the chinese.
Sure, kids will always raise emotions, but the japanese as a people were *far* from innocent.

How's The Dude been?
Man, my friend from grade school was on the tv show Las Vegas. I was anticipating seeing him on tv, he's been in a couple of movies and commercials, but only had one line or two. So he's on the show, but he plays a corpse
Oh wait, no, he plays an identity thief and murderer. No lines yet though.

My sister got the part for the main chick in On Deadly Ground with Stephen Segal but then they said she had to go nude and turned it down. my mom knows almost everyone in that movie. so they got a chinese woman to play an Eskimo.
