It's a sad, sad, sad, sad, sad day when Golden Girls is the best thing on tv....I don't want to watch Golden Girls, but it really is the best thing on right now.

hey man, did you dissapear for a while? I did. not alot of time for SG when you work 7 days a week. I thimk the last time I was around the Pats had only won 2 superbowls! got to go to three games last season. Both Miami games, (we were lost in the parking lot at pro player during the last 2:00, see what we get for getting a jump on south beach!) and the Sunday night Buffalo game. good stuff.

hey what was the name of that bridge in south east michigan held together with industrial glue? I was telling someone about it recently and forgot the name.
satanicmechanic:
try talking to my brother, to him only Murder She Wrote is as good. I just dont know if there's hope.

"Whatever it takes, dude"

It'd be funnier if I could find a better pic. It's the Phillies highlight video from '93 (the Mitch Williams/Joe Carter year).
willdabeast:
you're absolutely right about that.

What a good day so far....I got baseball tickets! I got one ticket for the Cincinnati Reds at St. Louis Cardinals on April 12th and one ticket for the day game the next day. I only went to one game last year and it was early in the season, so it's been awhile. My plan's to go down there on the 11th and leave after...

I took a delivery to a church tonight. They ordered a dozen pizzas and put it on account, so all I needed was a signature for them to "pay" for them. The conversation went something like this:

Me: I just need you to sign here.
Church Guy: OK
Me: Ok, the pink copy is for you.
CG: Yup, I just give that to the boss...

That was surprisingly amusing. You pizza men have some killer adventures. Also, my definition of adventure is surprisingly all-encompassing. smile
adelina:
a dozen pizzas? they eat a lot.

do you think "the boss" has a p.c. sense of humor?

Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored......

Yesterday I went over and paid my ticket. Damn did it hurt shelling out that much money for something so silly.

I watched the final two movies in the Creature From the Black Lagoon series. Not very good....I love the old horror movies, but this series is just silly.

Now I am watching a couple of episodes of Wonderfalls before...

arete:

I got my train ticket yesterday. It's half the price if you travel Sat-Mon rather than Fri-Sun. I haven't taken the train in about seven or eight years. It should be fun.

Today, I was going to go pay the ticket I got on Saturday, but I couldn't seem to get out of bed today. I was supposed to wake up and go get some...

Sounds like a lot of fun.

How far is Chicago from 'Zoo by train? What is the cost differential of traveling on sat-mon rather than fri-sun?
lipbiter:
the settting and concept are different but as for the actual text, it's the same.

I learned something rather novel yesterday.....Apparently The Man has a very different opinion of how long one should stay at a stop sign before proceeding onward....as it turns out, my opinion is wrong and their's is right and I am gonna be out $105 thanks to the polite officer who stopped me. This even sucked more because I was working at the time. So, there...

Nobody's sad for the dead man. He's dead. We're sad for ourselves no one will ever again read a new book by Hunter S. Thompson.

I got the two Dead Milkmen cd's that I had ordered. They had said it would take a week and it only took two days, so that kicks ass.

Last night I watched Love and Death...I think I have a new favorite Woody Allen movie. I still love Annie Hall and Zelig, but I think they've dropped to #2 and #3.

Today I...

Love and Death is great. People don't talk a lot about it, but it's like being in a room filled with laughing gas.

Ooooooooooooh shit.....Well life is grand and I will say this at the risk of falling from favor from those of you who have appointed yourselves to expect me to say something darker...

The whole life is grand motif of this entry stems not from some magical Valentine's Day miracle of me having someone to actually share it with....nay, the real reason for my joyousness is...

I ended up being stuck at work until 10:30ish, so no movie for Dave....oh well, like I said, I know fuck all about Che Guevara, so it isn't that big of deal to me to not see it on the big screen.

Speaking of seeing things on the big screen: I just found out that The Music Box Theatre is doing a midnight showing of...

Actually, I haven't seen any of those other three. I think Keaton was more of a hired hand in those, and although I'd imagine his contributions are worth seeing, they're probably not your best introduction to his work.

Oh, wow, I just noticed you play the accordion, too. I took lessons for 10 years!

Work went ok...delivering pizzas just isn't as fulfilling as it was, say, several years ago....then again, I knew that already. I picked up a shift for tomorrow. For some reason I had Friday off, I don't like having Friday off, I tend to make kick ass money on Friday. So, I'm working 5-9 now instead of having the night off and I am going to...

Welcome back!

Cheer for the Yankees! Never! I think the Beltre signing is good, although probably not enough. Sexson was a terrible contract, but 1 out of 2 is good for the Mariners.

I don't know what to do abiut the NL, though...

Hey Dave... good to see you back on the site... you missed some great bowling last night smile
