I can't get upset about it - I'm so out of touch with society in general that if I were to get upset - it would be a constant. LOL

Who wants to live like that? i'm more of a live and let live kinda person - except when it comes to ethics and integrity. One must have a foundation of beliefs after all, "sniff"....

Oh gosh. a) ace picture b) nicely done. c) you've made me mighty upset that it's been so ong since I've had a good climb.

Awwwww! Puppy! Merlin is SOOOO cute. The one of you two together is cute. I really like the other though... There's something that really draws the eye.

I try not to post many depressing blogs... It's not the person I want to be. I'm working really hard to get myself out of that kind of space. Besides-- I don't get 50 responses anyway. The only time I post about "boo-hoo" stuff is when I'm just trying to mentally work through it, (like when honey went to jail).

Maybe I should try to work on being an SG again so I can post them.. hehehe!

It's my friends that keep me on SG, not the naked girls. Not that I don't appreciate them, but it's not my first priority as to why I spend the time here that I do.

'Click and read on' time! This was the first single I ever bought, believe it or not, at the age of eight!

Well, I hope I get some more pop recommendations, guys, but this morning is turning out to be a tough one.

My annual review is due soon. I've already pointed out to my Global Manager that I didn't get a review for 08,...

I'm jealous of that body. Now I have something to shoot for.

I started collecting records at a very young age. I used to drag my dad to the record store at least once a week when I was as young as 8 or 9.

I don't remember what the first record I ever owned was, bur I'm sure it was R&B.

Right, this is prompted by an article I read a while ago in New Musical Express. The writer stated that the four greatest pop bands were British, and they were...

The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
The Clash
The Smiths

I'm not sure why he chose four, rather than five or ten. Seems a little...

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake was one of my favorite albums of all time. All of my original vinyl (along with my turntable) is long lost and I never purchased it on CD. Hmmmm...

I loved The Cars - one of them lives just over the state line in New Fairfield. I've always been partial to Ric's wife as well.

I have had so many favorite bands. I'll need to think and reflect a bit on this.

I got a major chuckle out of your previous blog and it brought back several memories of my own herd's youthful (mis)adventures. We never shut down an entire shopping mall, however. Well done. I'm glad to see that in spite of it all one of us has turned out alright. I'm not claiming that it's me...

I am looking forward to watching Wings of Desire again this November 3. Why on that precise date? The DVD has been out of print in the region for some time now - I've arranged my rental queue so that I'll recieve it on the day of its release. Wim Winders is wonderful. Some of the other favorites of his currently in my queue include Paris, Texas, The Beuna Vista Social Club, The American Friend and, of course, now I'll have to watch Faraway, So Close! again as well. He was responsible for one of the most memorable scenes in Beyond The Clouds, the wonderful film he collaborated on with Michelangelo Antonioni. I've wanted to (re)watch that one for a couple of years now - it's out of print in this country as well. I wish I'd bought it when it was still available.

I'm pleased to hear, but not at all surprised that you are such great appreciator of Kieslowski (and Winders).

I guess it's about time I told you all about my criminal conviction for terrorist activities, isn't it? (Christ, that's a good sentence to start a blog with!!!).

This all occurred a long time ago when I was at the tender age of 14/15, and still fascinated, as boys tend to be, with making explosions. It all started innocently enough. You remember those strips of...

My Saturday mornings are going downhill, and it's all my daughter's fault. She'e been going to gymnastics for a few months now, and when it started, everything was great. The lesson started at 9am, so my wife got up and took her, while I got on with cleaning the house. But she keeps getting better and moving up classes, and the lesson has slipped from...

I'm not even sure what I am anymore - a few months ago I was going to sleep at 5am. Now, that's the time that I generally get up. No daughter or dog, of course, but my cat has me on call 24/7.

Thanks for the memories... I loved Mama Cass, and John and Denny and Michelle. And the Spoonful. And all the rest of that great 60's music that was the soundtrack to my younger life.

Best wishes...

wsoxfan:
The pride you have toward your daughter really shines through. I can certainly relate, as I reveled in both of my daughters' accomplishment, both big and small. Even today as adults, they never cease to amaze me at what they're capable of.

You have a lot of things to look forward to with her. Enjoy.

Everyone who subscribes to SG stares at strangers. We look into the eyes of people we've never met or spoken to before. Sometimes we communicate; sometimes we think we know the people involved. But, often we just look.

But what if you were asked to stare into the eyes of a complete stranger without speaking for an hour? Someone not physically remote from you, but...

Can you please just throw up on my mom? I am at my wits end with her. I am sooo not joking when I say I would LOVE to cancel the wedding (elope instead) JUST so I can make her mad enough to leave me ALONE! Thats sad. I want her to go away. We have had too much issues and have not mended enough for me to despise her this much, yet have a wedding for HER!

yeah... I am blogging again. I need to get it off my chest.

happy weekend to you, silly englishman. kiss. kmk kiss

You were the inspiration for my post today. In reading your recent blogs I was struck by what you have been going through -. trying to temper your passion with grace and acceptance of your situation.

I haven't done it any justice - i just briefly jotted down some quick thoughts in a brief few minutes while getting ready to leave for work. I'm not done with this string of thoughts -so there will be more to come.

I have been so impacted lately that I really haven't had the luxury of really focusing and creating anything cohesive. With my husband being down for the count - I've been responsible for everything at home as well as dealing with work issues. lately I've just been putting out fires.

I need to just stop, take a deep breath and find my bearings. And give all of this some real thought.....

So how did Saturday go?

More than 30 people were arrested yesterday after thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in rival race protests in Manchester.

Supporters of the English Defence League, an alliance of football supporters and far-right activists, were involved in skirmishes with police and a number of counter demonstrators from Unite Against Fascism in Piccadilly Gardens, near the city centre.

Police issued...

That's the second time I've used that qoute today. I consider ignorance, racism and hooliganism to be particularly virulent forms of stupidity. Good luck fighting against it.

Soundtrack for my day. Click and carry on...

I'm having a ME day. I'm fed up with trauma and doubt and worry, and I've dug myself out. I have personal problems I need to deal with, but I'm dealing with them, and that's okay. And lots of you helped too, so thank you.

So. First of all a nice walk with Merlin, then a good...

I'm not going to backslide either. I don't like aerobics much. I like walking, doing the treadmill and working out on the weight machines.. Last year I partnered up witth someone who was very knowledgeable with the machines. He was very helpful.

I hope to rejoin the gym after New Years. I hope we compare notes on our success and not on any backsliding.

(back to normality - I've been meaning to write this blog for a while)

In the Peak District, where I used to work as a countryside ranger, the dark moorland plateaus of Bleaklow and Kinder rise above 2000'. This national park is surrounded by major industrial conurbations and all their infrastructure, and is a vital recreational and natural resource to the area. It is...

Thank you my dear, I've had a fantastic time.

And it seems I've been away from my internet access at just the wrong moment, your previous blogs really did make me feel for you. Your daughter is beautiful, it's the job of any parent to instill the lessons in their children that will stay with them for life. It's hard to get to know someone through the internet, but just from blogs like the one written above I'd have little doubt that you're exactly the sort of person who is well set to do so. Without knowing for sure, I would say your daughter is lucky to have a dad like you. I'd also say that no person is perfect but you have many redeeming qualities that shine through.

If you want to talk feel free to PM me. x

That's an interesting theory about the conservative woman on a mink coat. i'd have to disagree. After all, why would i want to give such a woman so much pleasure?

As you can tell, my head is much too big to fit into my normal size hat today. That is if i wore a hat.
