So I had a couple interviews today.

The first one was the really cool job that would actually allow me to use my physics. However, I must first be accepted for the job. I think my biggest hang up was trying to be interviewed by a robot. I swear to god this guy was a machine. He had no emotion, I couldn't judge him. He...

I know, it's like something you'd read about in a tabloid or in Believe It Or Not...

Good luck with the interviews... mostly with the robot one because it sounds like quite a challenge, but I wish you luck with either.

I hate the job search process. Especially when they include an interview like the first one you described... I've had quite a few of those myself (but I did get the job, so...) Good luck!

Wow.

Wow.

What happened there?

That was one hell of a night. That was definitely my rockstar moment. I have to say thank you to everyone there and also a special thank you to everyone who helped take care of me in my time of need. I am proud to say that throughout all of that, I didn't puke on myself at all! Like, nothing....

Glad to see you up and around! After how very ill you looked towards the end of the party, I was worried about you. Do I even want to ask how much you had to drink?

Granted, after the dare you took, I can see where you might have needed a few pints of liquid courage...
ninjathat:
hahahaha, it was nice meeting you dude.

Let the weekend commence. Today has been a day of anticipation and laziness.

Oh, yesterday. I got a time and date for my interview finalized--Monday at 1pm. I'm superexcited, it'll be an awesome time. I think this'll be really good for me. It's the right amount of professionalism and also engineering. I'll also get to work in another 'landmark' of Portland.
chriskaasi:
Hey, I work around a lotta professionalism and engineering. (I work in my company's engineering department.)

Good luck with the interview.
user080840832:
I love you.
I'm a little tea pot short and stout.
This is my handle........................

How to make it seem realistic when you call in sick to your work:

Drink a glass of dark soda (caffeine containing) right before bed. Wake up, don't say anything before calling, and then call. When you talk, it'll sound like crap. Booya.

That, or actually be sick.

For me, I don't know which one was the most effective. However, I'm not at work, and...

Warm in bed is good. I suck at calling out of work. I always feel really guilty and am sure that they are going to know something is up. It's no good at all. frown
Good luck on your interviews! smile

So, I went to dinner tonight--I left at 5 from my house at Cornelius Pass. I got into downtown Portland at 5:30. I am awesome. I'm so taking back roads more often now. It was seriously such a better drive.

Jazz is brilliant. KMHD rocks my socks.

Did anyone also listen to 94.7's perfect playlist tonight? It was from a 5 year-old. The first song...

I'm all sickly and stuff--I wasn't feeling all too hot today. Come to think of it. My head isn't sitting straight right now.

I think I'm going to go take a nap. Yes, that would be a good idea.

Yes...a nap is always a good idea. smile

I'm with you on the sick. Blech.
A nap is a fabulous idea...of course by now, you have already done that...hope you feel better! smile

Hiya.

I got a pair of snowboard boots for $25... Now, I just need to get up to the mountain--that would be awesome. I feel like everything is way too busy, but it's really not. I'm excited for everything that's happening.

I'm back doing remodeling and stuff for my friend. I'm glad to be working at it again, but it seems like my time is...

It's felt like several years since I hung out with anyone. Don't feel too bad.

I'm sure I'll see you this weekend. Otherwise, I don't know. Whenever.

And yeah, you can check for purchased music.
ladybelmont:
Let me know when you go up to the mountain. I want to go.

The fog has been really crazy lately. It's like playing a video game from the mid-90's. Like... Turok, only in a car and less dinosaurs. It's fun though. I always hope that it'll turn into something more--like snow.

I was a total lazybum today. I think this was one of the first days when I actually acted unemployed since being on that construction job. I...

Today was good--very productive. I'm tired though--a more complex and intriguing update soon.
hrlyquinn:
productive and tired can be a very good feeling. I tend to enjoy it. smile

btw, I continue to really like your profile pic. wink
alyssum:
Thanks very much for the hug. I definitely need it. I'm glad to hear things are good for you, it sounds like something we could all use, lately.

Well then--that changes everything.

I was on my way to a friend's place to resume construction of some dungeon furniture (presently, a padded table). We had to go get some foam and stuff. Anyway, that's besides the point.

So, on the way there, I was just driving merrily along the 26 (as merrily as possible, I guess) and I had an overwhelming desire to...

No need to pray, my friend. Just come to Chicago. We have plenty of ice & snow. The novelty doesn't last very long though. Good luck with the interview.
babyblue:
And we are thwarted once again. frown

And now, I don't want it to snow, because I have shit to do this weekend, and I refuse to drive in the snow. We coastal Californians tend to lack that skill. tongue

Hmm hmm hmm.

I feel like I'm back tracking. I even have a job to sustain me for the meantime. It's the same one I had two years ago though. That's probably why I feel so crappy about it.

I ate corn dogs, I woke up at 11. How is this conducive to making myself a productive member of soceity. I did apply for a...

Who cares about being a productive memeber of society?
Our society is shit. Almost every aspect of it is entirely flawed. Why assimilate into it?
