i'm not sure if this congested headache and sinus pain is part of the hangover or if i'm truly sick. i'm sure all the sun yesterday didn't help, esspecially all that sun and no suntan lotion. my love is being sweet and calling it rosy rather than burned.
i made some mistakes yesterday. now i know what NOT to do. thats all life is though,...

sorry to hear about the baked bod. I'm luck to stay brown year round. well I hope this find you less burt and felling better.
this has been one of the most relaxing weekends i've had in a long time. yes, i may not do much on weekends anyway, but this has been the most RELAXING. Friday night i wanted to go to the cheap theatre to see Land of the Dead but they stopped fucking playing it. It was only there for a goddam week, i was expecting some...

its a good thing that they stopped showing land of the dead. its not worth the money. and there is not that much gore in it. to be honets it was quite lame. wait till its out on video. and watch it at home.
i just talked to my best friend back home. it was so good to hear how happy she is. i'm looking forward to visiting for thanksgiving soo much. i'm still learning how to balance a life between here and what is left of it back in Detroit. its interesting to feel the impact you leave after moving so far away. how people and places will...

Thanks lady!
i didn't realize its been that long since i've updated. i suppose i also haven't noticed how busy i've become. talk about summer in portland, its like nowhere else. i went whitewater canoing on tuesday. class 4 baby! it was great, people would pull over on this road that follows the river and they'd just watch with their jaws to the ground. the deschutes is...

when you are home you must get my number from B and call me and we must all hang out. and i can regale you with stories of how i kill pomeranians that eat my sandwich.
i hope this new housemate works out nicely. of course i'm talking about the kitten.

I love rafting on the Deschutes! You lucky girl.
i'm sorry i've been neglecting my journal updates. my housemates computer that i've been using is a piece of junk mac. it does that not wanting to load thing after you've put all this effort into a journal entry. i hate that. it makes me wish i either had a laptop or wasn't as involved online. but if it weren't for SG, i wouldn't be...

best of luck finding a roommate -- that sucks.
argene:
I hope you'll get a roomie to your liking, I'm nearly hyperventilating at the thought of having a roomate when classes start again.
This week at work was exhausting. I'm beginning to feel like i'm working in a closet with how cluttered everything has become. Its scary how quickly we've been using every corner for extra space, we need to move into a larger building, fast, or i'm gonna start wrenching my hair out because i'm tripping over things. Despite space issues, i'm fairly satisfied with how quickly...

despite all the shitty things floating around in my life, oregon summer is really cheering me up. i can't believe how beautiful and alive everything is. comparing this to life back in detroit, this is where i feel like i'm meant to be. if i could have my way in a perfect world, i would have all my longtime friends here too, but take the...

I know, it great that summer is here.
i'm not sure if things have really been resolved. after explaining to my closest housemate how concerned i am and that i don't want to have to move out, he agreed that something needs to be done. he didn't want to jump to evicting him, so we set some house rules that will basically force him to get a job. we created courtesy fees and...

Hopefully the roommate situation gets straightened out for you. And the guy doesn't just become a total slacker again, from the sounds of it.
It was nice semi- if not at all- meeting you tonight. P.S. I really wanted to comment on your forearm tattoo. I think it really amazing and very well done.

You've got a lot going on...
Sounds like an excellent move on the roomie side of things. Boundaries are so important and being able to quantify when people are actually taking care of their buisness or not is really challenging. My last shared housing situation called for similar measures and it was challenging. It just wasn't my job to clean for anyone or pay their bills...
Re: the parentals, I feel you there as well. Mine split years ago and it was really hard on my mom. I think she was in deep denial about the whole thing and the possibility of them reconciling at some point and it just wasn't going to happen and didn't really need to... It needed to end. She's doing ok now though and I think she gets it's all for the best. Relationships are hard to make work...

alright fellow sg'ers. i need some advice. i awoke this morning at 5 am to my completely trashed housemate pissing in the hallway in front of my bedroom door. he failed to stumble into the bathroom (which was only 3 ft away from him) before he started to do his business. this man is 35 years old. jobless, and just as or more lazy than...

that could also be because you always had a buzz cut while your brother had flowing blonde locks.

hey, I am moving to oregon in 1 year...How do you like it?
I've had an incredibly busy weekend. I began working on painting my room. There was some water damage below my window so I transformed into handygirl and patched a couple of areas up. I put the first coat of primer on. I'm guessing i'll have to do four coats, 2 of the primer, 2 of color. I don't like to think about it since my...

Hey, just wanted to say that I love your set. Also, very sorry to hear about your parents. My folks divorced years ago, and I know that it can be a really painful process, especially when you're caught in the middle like that. I don't really have anything profound to say that you haven't already heard, and in any event this is probably one of those things that you pretty much have to find your own way on, so I'll just wish you and your family the best.

yay. your still in the area right?! We should get together and do something. It would be wonderful to see you again
