so, i really have been taking into consideration all of the suggestions about what i should do for my *non practice* set and i will deffinately give you the bright and intense color you are looking for when the time comes where i can re submit. i just got my new camera today! so i'm gonna take another practice set sometime this following week to experiment with it and perhaps try to find exactly what you are looking for.

Although i have only played with it for a short time i can already tell that the quality of the pics is far superior to the camera i was using for all of the practice sets i have submitted. i promise lighting will not be an issue anymore. i also have some really cool set ideas...i'm about to explode cuz i want to tell you and everyone about them so bad but ofcourse...i should probably keep quiet.

Usually the normal U-shaped rings can't be flipped up into the nose, you'd need to buy a retainer which is small enough to flip up....and yes it does look like "metal boogers" in fact that is how my mom found out i had gotten one....she was leaning over to grab the trash out of of the garbage can, looks up at me, and says "Wait, there's a staple or something in your nose!"

I like septum piercings, but i always have. Not necessarily for "submissive" reasons at all, like people on here seem to be talking about. I mean, a cirular ring "could" be meant to be submissive, but a u shaped one with spikes on the end? I don't know, i don't really think so. the first time i saw one was in National Geographic.....

Getting mine done hurt, but really not that bad at all (comparable to getting my ear lobes done). If you have a good piercer, they should know not to go through the cartilege in your nose (unless you want them to for some reason, like w/ a double septum it is probably unavoidable). The section of skin close to the front of your nose should be relatively cartilege free. More than anything it made me really feel like i was going to sneeze, and my eyes started watering. And the first dozen times i absentmindedly rubbed my nose *really sucked*......

Thats all i can think of.....do what you want. I think it would look good on you, but i am biased
