I don't know you but I stumbled upon your profile. I'm sorry to hear your friend is going through this. Sounds like he has moderate to severe depression and I definitely think he should see someone. You are a very good friend for staying by his side and being concerned. The best way to get through to him is explain to him that you are truly worried and concerned for him and that you don't like seeing him in that condition. Even offer to go with him to see someone. Depression is a hard thing to deal with and talk about especially when it's concerning yourself, I know this because I've been struggling with my depression for 4 years. I went through some similar things as him. But it helps to have someone by your side for that first visit to the doctors/pshychiatrist, etc. I hope you are able to get through to your friend. tonight was awesome. i saw my little brother beat the shit out of some guy.
