I should be updating my non sg blog as it's been months since I've written anything. But I don't feel like I can get so personal on that blog.

I'm depressed. I haven't been depressed in a long time and somehow that makes it so much harder to deal with. Very recently I was epically happy.

If you don't know, I spent a year planning...

At the moment I'm in Miami visiting family before I take the adventure of a lifetime. On Thursday I leave for Belize to begin my one year backpacking adventure through Central and South America.

There is so much to do, it's overwhelming.
I still have so much little bullshit to put on ebay and so much I need to pack up and figure out who I'm going to send it to for safe keeping. This is one of those times where I wish I just had normal parents who wouldn't mind holding my stuff for me while I go...

Wow you are so much better of a person then me, I just cant sale my stuff, I love my stuff to much, that would be so hard for me, Im sure this trip is so worth it, but damn I just couldnt do it.

People on SG are great, we really do care about you, you have never been just a pretty face to me, nor have any of the girls on my friends list.

mrmuller:
Wow, it's been awhile. I didn't even know you came back. Welcome! And all the best with your trip. I'm sure it will be fantastic.

Check it out, my friends:These Things

I just posted an entry about the female/male mating ritual.
That makes it sound very dry and boring, but it's not! and there are pictures of titties! Go look!

But seriously, I appreciate you guys going and taking a look at what I have to say. And the fact that some of you seemed...

Not exactly a staggering work of sociological genius, but I suppose if you want to take pot shots at WeHo club skanks, I'm sure they won't notice.

Bit of a sexist position to take though, don't you think? smile
heracleitus:
Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly satisfied with just being her friend. In fact, I have a policy of not having sex with anyone I'm not already friends with. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't mind us doing more, especially since that would almost assuredly lead to spending more time with her. And the fact that I would enjoy her company in bed, and in the shower, and on the dining room table, and... does not in any way reflect on my enjoyment of time spent together clothed.

And, on a side note, I am fucking other people. I just, you know, think I would enjoy fucking her more. If she disagrees, it's a shame, but as I'm still getting mine somewhere else, I'm hardly in much of a position to complain, am I?

As for the blog post, I don't even necessarily disagree with what you're saying and, words you used aside, I was under no illusion that you are in any way actually sexist. However, I still think your examination of the issue is a bit cursory. For example, your conclusion seems to depend on the assumption that these girls are looking for Mr. Right. If they are actually looking for Mr. Tonight, so to speak, one could argue they are acting in what could be considered the proper fashion to achieve their desire. You are free, of course, to debate the long-term value of one-night stands, but that's a different subject.

Moreover, if, as you contend, society has made these girls this way (and we'll ignore, for the moment, the role of self-determination in deciding one's course of action), then simply chastising the girls (even assuming they cared and/or read your blog) doesn't really go far enough, which was more the thrust of my original comment. The sociological/psychological implications of such behavior interest me as well and I'd be happy to discuss it further, but I think, for a blog comment, I've already gone on long enough. smile

These are the most badass watches I have EVER seen! If you're in the market for a new watch, take a look at these guys. They're handmade in South Korea.
I'm always blown away by people who can make such amazing things with their hands.

This watch in particular is my favorite. I'll hold off for a while, but I can already tell that at...

Ok so it's come to my attention that my last post came off as kinda resentful of being back, which is not exactly that case. It was just kind of a surprise to find myself here.
I asked Sean if I could get on to grab a couple photos I never got a chance to save, and he said, "I'll just unarchive you, but it...

OMG! You are amazing. I wish I had the guts to sell everything and leave to travel. Especially when "everything" is soooooooo beautiful. I remeber seeing some of your stuff in SG sales. I would love to buy your entire loft fully furnished and transport it to where I live :-( Unfortunatley real life kicks my butt again :-)

Best of luck on your trip. I hope it's everything you dreamed it would be and no major calamities ensue.

I've begun this first blog post in three years at least 5 times now and I keep erasing it and running for the metaphorical door.
This place is almost exactly the way it was when I left it. Honestly, that kinda freaks me out. If I had stayed would I be almost exactly the same after three years too? I've definitely grown a lot and...
