Grr, how am I supposed to lose weight when I keep making cookies?

I haven't updated in a while, but that's because everything has been pretty same-y. I'm mostly just busy with grad school and am currently putting off studying for my last final.

I want to be able to go one entire year without hearing or seeing something about Star Wars. I liked the original series as much as the next person, but I can't go a week without some person or website complaining about some new Star Wars product or making a Star Wars reference. One year is all I want.

I couldn't hack it in the real world so I'm going back to school for a masters.

I really can't remember the last time things have gone my way.

For the longest time I didn't have a picture of myself, because I was shy and then it was because I don't like any pictures of me. I took one I didn't completely hate and here it is. This is how I spend my evenings, watching netflix and petting my kitten.

I'm a gamer and one of the things I hate most about games is the ridiculous armor that female characters often wear. The games that do this will often have male characters wear something sensible that protects the body while female characters tend to have a metal bikini, protecting nothing.

It's sexist, but it also strikes me as being very patronizing. As though I'm going to spend $60 on a bad game just so I can see some digital cleavage. I had thought for a long time that the solution would be to have female characters wear the same uniform the men do, but after seeing this I think a more fun solution is ridiculous fantasy armor for all.

I've been looking for a job since I graduated in May, although I didn't actually graduate, because the university thought I didn't take English 101. I didn't take English 101, but only because my ACT scores were high enough for me to skip it. However, I transferred to this university who only saw my transcripts and not my ACT scores.

The university sent me a notice three weeks after I walked which gave me one week to respond, but I was told that me school email would be shut down within a week or two after graduating so I didn't check my email until some time later when I was wondering why my diploma hadn't shown up. The fix was to take a ten dollar, twenty minute COMPASS test, but now I don't technically graduate until August and I can't help but wonder if this is hampering my job search.

While I'm ranting I might as well complain about some of the skilled worker temp agencies I see advertising jobs. In many of the advertisements I see from these companies they are clearly hiring to try and fill a full time position in another company, they are clearly reposting the original job posting minus all of the identifying information of the company to make themselves a middleman in the process.

I am now the proud owner of a B.S. in Mechanical engineering! Now I need to find a job.

I haven't had much to report on; still don't, but I thought I'd share one of the more amusing frustrations in my life. On April 9th, my birthday, I have to take the FE exam. The FE exam is an eight hour test located half an hour away in the dreariest part of town. I'm considering wearing a pointy party hat.
