hey man, trust me, you ain't alone. I know how you feel. I ETSed out of the Army two years ago, but on one of my deployments to Afghanistan, I missed:

Halloween
Thanksgiving
X-Mas
New Years
My Birthday (June 9)
and my then-girlfriend's birthday. also, by sheer luck, our freedom bird came home on July 3rd, so if we had been stuck in Afghanistan for 1 more day waiting for a C-17, I would have missed 4th of July too.

It sucks, I know, I've been there. Good luck to you over there man, come home safe.
