Modern-day Mantra

I do not know; we do not know;
you do not know; what do we know?
Nothing do I know; nothing do we know;
fools we are; we do not know
anything;
nothing we know; we know nothing;
I do not know; I do not know;
what do I know? Nothing.
A fool I am; nothing I know.
I know nothing I do...

Yes!!!! Finally!!!!! I am now Alice. smile
kenyon:
you have said it. so i don't have to. i guess the one exception, in my case, is that i always had one foot planted on the earth but that was only stay grounded long enough for sex, which of course fell under the category of "creating." i wouldn't bathe, though. i wouldn't eat properly. or excercise (what a luxury for the able-bodied; i didn't realize.)

and let's face it, i'm still not in my body. i know all of this intellectaully, now, but haven't manifested my groundedness. i "have no first chakra."

have you changed? i think you have, a little, no? zero judgement any which way, just curiosity.

Maow miao!!

I hope so! Actually, with my terrible standard of dexterity at the moment, my hands are becoming more paw-like too... If I grow a tail I will be so happy.
figmentation:
Our bodies tell us what they need. Ya know those kids in school who ate paste? there's actually a mineral in paste that the body needed and it found a way to get. (true story.)

I wouldn't worry unless you went for more than a month on that diet.

and plaid trousers would be fabulously wonderful! how many people have the guts to wear them! Especially to a wedding! I mean really.
wink

Worth indicated by beauty, hmmmm.
The giving of instructions to underlings without so much as a "please", also hmmmm.
Insufficient ruthlessness by the pretender, very hmmmm indeed.

The beard makes you look alarmingly like Garry Bushell, IMO.
sockpuppet:
OK, I'm sorry. That was crude and brutal of me tongue

Still, with any luck, in a few years people will be going "oh there goes Garry Bushell, the sad old has-been... that beard doesn't half make him look like Monsignor Christian Jackwit though." smile

I've got all my edinburgh trip booked up, ready to go! I can't wait. By the way, good beard in your profile picture, I always appreciate a good beard. I don't think beardless people understand the commitment that relates to growing a beard, it takes a strong backbone to get past the first difficult weeks, shows fortitude smile
blackink:

whoa. Zdzislaw rocks. thanks for the link.

"extremes of fear/anxiety/panic"? why haven't you mentioned this before? whatever

i have next to no relationship with my dad, but i'm used to it; he kinda jumped ship when i was five or six. what's your pa all about? do you not see eye to eye?

i bloody well should send you a Mahalia cd, and i bloody well should send you that mythical Chet Baker one while i'm at it! i suck.
fred:

Oh. Well I thought it was Dick Van Dyke. I've even seen that movie a long time ago, but only bits and pieces as a kid.
I remember the "chitty-chitty-bang-bang" song the most.

Sometimes looking back on stuff first seen as a kid takes on a whole different light when you're older.

dreams are one a the best things we got going for us. dreams and music.

where do you find these amazing pictures? i like the monochrome the best.

so i bought a 2-disc Mahalia Jackson compilation. it was an excellent choice (especially for six quid). biggrin do you know the song In the Upper Rooms? it's rocketed right into my all-time faves...
sockpuppet:

i have NOT sitting at the computer issues, i tell you. . i spedn way too much time online, and an unnhealthy amount of time not out galloping and frolicking in the fresh air. not that i've ever galloped. or frolicked for that matter. . . but fresh air is. . probably needed.

i was a bit. . . unsure when i joined up again, as i think i said i was more or less talked into joining by the girl, and i sort of. . . didn't talk to anyone else for a while, but she's. . more sociable than i am. and she has boobs.

but yeah. . . we do. . . talk rather a lot back and forth, i think we may be scaring people of from talking to either of us with our. . general weirdness, but that's okay.

aye, you can excommunicate verlainne, i don't think he'll be rising from the dead anytime soon. . soo many. . . risque old journal entries and stuff, eh?

anyway, do update, but when you feel okay about being back. the place is certainly better WITH you than without, dude.

what miserable bloody weather today, eh?
