My great uncle Ted passed away yesterday. He was 86 years young, and had a passion for all things sports. My father inherited that passion, and was fond of telling the story of how, when "uncle Ted" coached the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL junior A hockey team, he picked up my dad on his way to play the Oshawa Generals (as he often did).
He told my dad they were going to see someone special. A fourteen year old kid, who could dominate the game like no one else could.
