I hope you can give me some guidance. I'd really appreciate it.
I need to move out of New York City as soon as it's feasible. I can't afford to live here and be able to accomplish the things I still want to do with my life. There's no way to get around it. I've lived in New York for 60 years, but it's time to bid her farewell.
I'd like to know certain things about the areas where you live or have lived in the past. This goes for anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. The things i'm most interested in knowing about, are the following.
What is the average rental for a studio or a one bedroom apartment in a middle class and lower middle class neighborhood in an urban area of the city you're discussing?
How good is the public transportation in that area?
How are the oppotunities for part-time work for someone my age, (62)? It's not all that important what the type of work is. My question has to do with the general part-time employment opportunities in the area that you tell me about.
What i'm planning to do is figure out the best way to visit the two or three areas that seem most suitable for my needs with a minimum of expense.
If something sounds promising, i'll probably want to follow up with a few more questions, but the information i've requested above is good for now. Please keep in mind that even when my finances improve, my funds will be pretty limited, hence the question about part-time work.
I hope i'm not imposing too much on you. I'm at a crossroads in my life. I'm determined to seek out the situation that can give me the most peace of mind and hope for the future.
I want to thank all of you in advance for whatever you can come up with.

I totally agree with you about forces hell-bent on bringing Obama down at the expense of the country. It's really sad.
