It's a windy, snowy spring thus far in this side of Minnesota... though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, we had snow into May last year (and years prior).
maybe I'm just gettin' "old and orn'ry" nowdays? :)
ANYways...
got vaca time approved for the 1st week of June (Mon thru Fri), so now just need to figure out how to affordably utilize the week - and possibly get out of the Cities.
most ideas are, unfortunately, quite unaffordable...
I've already been asked by a few people why I can't make it May, but every weekend of May I have my daughters and they're my priority!
BUT it appears I may actually be able to rent a car at a "weekly" rate that just may be affordable for my week-cation!
so... it's only a PIP (plan-in-progress) at this point, but what I'm thinkin' I may do is:
begin Monday by headin' up to north-north country (up Roseau way) for a couple days and see friends and recent grads
then work my way west-southerly (Grand Forks-ish) for the remainder and see friends and relatives I haven't seen in decades
I know mid-week isn't great for most people, but weekends are pretty tight/tough to make work right now.
!!! again, this is just the PIPs at this point, nothing gauranteed by a long shot !!!
( hells, I've got to set-up the car rental yet - all I have affirmed is the week-cation itself, Mon 1st June through Fri 6th June )
ANYways, weatherwise and other, we survived the Fools Of April... and had a little bit o'fun in the process via a friend on fb :D
...it may offend some, but doesn't everything? I'm gonna share nonetheless ::
