Hi Blog…
This is going to be a long one! Please have a look all the way to the end because I will post a piece of artwork from two of my students…kind of a very positive way of ending one week and starting another.
I want to thank so many people here. I may leave someone out, but it doesn’t mean I love you any less. And a word about that phrase… “I love you.” I use it because that is how I truly feel. I never expect anything in return for that love. My Norwegian grandmother always told me to give all my love away, that way I can make room for more…and I ALWAYS did what my grandmother told me or I knew I would end up as a meal for the Trolls! I have been on an emotional rollercoaster for several weeks and SG has been one lifeline that has kept me sane and alive. The friendships I’ve made here are precious to me and the love I feel here, especially for my humble artwork, is only surpassed by the love I give all of you in return.
So…In no particular order…
Cadavre – for being there through EVERYTHING, good as well as bad, even when she is having troubles of her own. I love this lady and owe her so much I can never hope to repay it all, not in a thousand lifetimes.
JimCurt – for being an inspiration as an artist and friend. This man has an amazing talent and he keeps me honest as an artist as well. I wish we could someday work side-by-side out in the field, painting or drawing. THAT would be too cool!
Jaclyn – for being a beautiful angel, a friend, an inspiration for my work, and for ALWAYS sending me a message when I need it the most. She must be psychic. I only hope that she takes care of her health and doesn’t work too hard. I have no kids of my own so I have to worry about other peoples’ kids – I worry about her as if she were my sister, not so much my daughter.
Merlowe – for thinking I am sexy even though I know I’m not – far from it. She makes me blush and feel very good about myself every time I hear from her, even if it’s just...

Briscoe – for being herself and inspiring me to do the same…despite all of my faults and shortcomings.
Fuschia Shock – for inspiring me to try new things in my artwork, to not settle for the boring and mundane…and for being so sexy in a Victorian-style corset!!! Sorry, what can I say?
NeptuneFairy15 - for being so damn cute and sweet and making me feel like I am a nice person. I’m sorry if I messed things up for you. I am an ass more often than not and apologize…I’m trying to NOT be so much of an ass.
SakuraRedd – one of my newest friends here and a beautiful, inspiring lady. I can’t wait to do more artwork of her.
Chelan – for being a sweet friend and a caring, lovely woman who makes me feel like all is right with the world.
Allegro – for being one of my truest and oldest friends here…through it all she has been in my heart as a sweet, funny lady. She inspires me and my love of drawing dancers, just like one of my favorite artists, Degas. This is a drawing I did for a life drawing course...

LillithVain – You are drop-dead GORGEOUS and funny and sarcastic and sexy and cool…so there!
Toxic – What can I say about you sweetheart. You told me once I see the silver-lining in life. I haven’t felt those positive feelings very much lately, but when I think of you and what you mean to me, my whole outlook changes and I DO begin to see what you see in me. To say you inspire me honey is not enough. I’ll find the words someday…for now I’ll just keep drawing and painting you!!!
I wish I could include EVERYONE in this list now. Instead I will just keep drawing and painting all you lovely people, SG’s, Hopefuls, members – everyone here I love and care about deeply.
I am a Pagan, a Wiccan and a Witch…the reason I mention it is because I do Rune readings (called “pulls”) as a method of divination – part of practicing my Craft. I did a pull for myself on Imbolc (Feb. 2nd a celebration of the Goddess, Brighid)

and the Runes told me I might lose close friends. I became extremely anxious and depressed, thinking I would lose everyone here at SG. That would kill me. I am a novice at reading the Runes and put it down to that and the fact I’ve been unfocused for several weeks. I’m not sure why I write about this, other than it helps to get it out of my heart. I include a vid of one of my favorite singers, Loreena McKennit. The song, Dante’s Prayer, makes me cry and pulls at my heart because it speaks to how I feel, the sense of being forgotten, like nothing I’ve heard since…

Here is one I am working on for Saint – should be done today. And here is one I did for her awhile ago – my largest color pencil drawing to date…I’m kind of fond of it and VERY fond of her!





Here is one of an anonymous lady, just a pic from my portrait file, unfinished, but I think it’s coming along well.



And, a shameful plug/request…I was recently in an art show, displaying three pieces of work. None of them sold which made me sad, but oh well. I offer two of them here for $50 (plus shipping) each. Just let me know if you would like one or both and send me a private message with your address, etc. Thanks…sorry to be so commercial, but I have student loans that are killing me!



And, as promised, a picture of one of my students’ pieces – a sculpture of ice cream and other treats. They are so proud of their work and it is one of the best pieces I’ve seen yet for this school year. I love teaching these kids because they work so hard and are amazingly creative artists…makes me feel like there is so much hope in and for the world!
