here are some of the things i ate and drank today:
-pumpkin seeds: yes, i finally have carved the pumpkin for his seeds. a wee bit late, but boy, were they yummy and healthy feeling. i sort of felt guilty for having a non-carved pumpkin in the apartment for that long...i felt like i live in a manic depressive household or something of the sort...oh well, it is carved, eaten and in the bin.
-hot apple cider: sitting at my computer at work in manhattan, i sip hot apple cider while the sirens blare by and i listen to skinny puppy. it was the best monday i have had in a while, "tell me why i don't like mondays? i want to sho hoo hoo hoot the whole day down" normally. but it was grand as i took long strides in the mild air, weaving through the nyc christmas lights and bustle, my ipod goodies took me in and out of the entire engulfing scene.
-gingerbread cake: it was my birthday yesterday and i could not be bothered to do much as it was a sunday, and i had a head hanging in pain. SO, tonight, my sweetness baked me my favorite type of cake: gingerbread! it was moist and warm and delicious. with vanilla icing on top
chai tea latte with soy milk; homeade: well, after our meal of steamed baby carrots with a butter lime sauce, curried couscous, and shitake mushroom, vidalia onion, garlic, balsamic, and fake steak strips stir fry (holy cow, sooo good). we downed our warm cake with a semi sweet tra que chai, and did it go down happy.
after that, a 20 minute nap and an hour walk in the dusty mild november night
i grasp autumn by the gut
