Well, that came out of the blue. I start my new job in two weeks. It is nice to go into a job that is well paid and industry that is expanding.

Finally can start to exercise again after 2 months. The ankle is at a point where I can start to run around. I am going to hold off another week before playing indoor soccer though. Also need to drop the couple of kilos that I picked up as a result of being on crutches for three weeks and I need to do it quick. The enduro is now only seven weeks away. At my current level of fitness there is no way that I am going to be able to do 300 odd k's in five days on the mountain bke.

It is a little hard to be up beat at the moment.
I grew up down the road from the bush fires. My mates and I would stop off at Marysville to hit the bakery on the way for a day of cross country skiing and the Narbethong pub on the way back. My family would camp at Murrindindi. My brother lived at King Lake for a couple of years.
Marysville has been removed from the map. Narbethong gone. King Lake razed. So many people dead, so much destruction. The death toll stands at 128. That will not be the final figure.

So I took my plugs out. They have been at 12mm for three years now and thought, that's it. Now I am wondering how long before I can't see through my ears..

Still need to post photos on my progress. I get to start the background Friday.

Tax return has now finally been done.

So I started my sleeve.



Had another session since then. It has been shaded out and another 1.5 hours of colour.

I feel a little lost. I didn't get out on the bike on the weekend. Tweaked my back earlier in the week at soccer. All is good now.

Have to go hit some single track this weekend. I don't care if it is 10 degrees and raining. It has too happen, cause I am booked in for the 15th July to start my sleeve. Won't risk tearing up fresh ink.

The new car is fantastic. I can't stop driving at the moment.

So more dentalwork. Went in for a cracked filling and came out needing a crown. The tooth was cracked.
The result, I had to reduce the car budget. The good thing about it was it helped me decide what to buy and buy I did. I bought myself a Subaru Impreza 1998 RX. A little older than I wanted, but it has everything I want.

Hope to pick it Thursday afternoon. I can wait til Friday though. I haven't had a working car since the first week of March

So I got myself a new toy. I bought a Giant Trance 1

I wasn't planning on buying a new bike, but I couldn't resist when it was $800 off. The funds came from the car budget and wouldn't have it any other way.

Took it out today and it is fantastic. Can't believe I waited so long before upgrading to a dualie.

Also got myself a new laptop, but that was always on the list. Time for the kitchen renovation. Not looking forward to it. I'd be happy if I got home and it was done, but money doesn't stretch that far.

Oh... I don't have dental pain and I can finally chew.

Glad today is over. Started with a root canal, raced to work and then, went back to the dentist for another root canal.

Guess I'll be having soup for dinner.

My tooth is killing me. I need a root canal. NOW!
