It's been a year. No drugs. Weight has been gained back. Things are rough sometimes but I'm happy and not crazy. Maybe another set of pics will make their way to SG. We'll see.

Life's crazy. Spent some quality time finding my right mind . . . which I found. I'm happy to be who I am, where I am. I expect it will last.

Oy. Life is something else. We'll see how it works out.

Quitting smoking is going relatively well! Considering I've been smoking regularly for almost all of my adult life (since I was 14), it's crazy that I'm even doing this well. I'm focusing on changing my THINKING about it. I'm so used to having a smoke when I'm bored or need a break. The one place I'm giving myself a break at this point is when I'm out drinking. That will likely be the "last frontier", but seeing as I don't spend all that much time at bars, I'm ok with it at this point.

Of course, I had to meet a guy this past weekend who smokes. But the other guy I'm seeing doesn't. If only that were the biggest problem in life right now!

I'm quitting smoking. Other than a few years here and there, I've been smoking for about 15 fucking years. Jesus. That's fucking disgusting.

Last three days I tapered off the rest of my pack (allotted myself max of 2 a day). Managed to be all around loopy but was also able to lock myself out of my place. Got stuck sitting in the hallway because leaving meant being outside with no way in. Finally my neighbor came home and I climbed over the balconies to my own.

Today is day one of no smoking at all.

And I have a date tonight.

I am nervous yet hopeful for both.

I had a great birthday week! I am now officially . . . . . . . 28 . . . . again!!! Although, that number has changed, depending on the day of the week! Had lots of fun with lots of folks. Tomorrow I wrap up the festivities with a circus/vaudeville/burlesque show, all with the overlaying theme of zombies!!

My ladies and I will be making ourselves into zombies before headed to the show. I must say, becoming a zombie is one of my favorite things. Especially now that I have a personal supply of liquid latex!

Woo-hoooooo!!!

Soooo,

I've started the second session of trapeze classes. Everything hurts My hands are developing calluses which, according to another woman in my group, you have to shave off once they develop. This is so they don't break open. Gross. Of course, I've lost toenails during my marathon running stint so, this is nothing. The backs of my knees are all burned (as in rope burn) from hanging off the bar. And my muscles generally are tired. They don't hurt as much as before so I guess I'm getting stronger. Or plateau-ing.

I'll be 32 soon. Wheee. Whee? I don't mind the getting older, I just didn't think my life would be what it is at this point. Don't get me wrong, I love my life. I only wish for some things to go more "as planned". *sigh* It's ok.

On another note, someone is playing music (I believe Chinese classical, or at least something similar to that style) that echoes throughout the neighborhood. At first, I kind of liked it. But now, after weeks of this shit, I'm over it. The thing is, all I can hear is this ONE EFFING LOOP. Over and over and over and over and over. Wait. It's actually not playing RIGHT NOW.

AAAAHHHHH! Sweet silence!! It will be on soon enough. Never fear.

So, on top of the stupid pain in my side, which is getting better, slooooowly, I now am the victim of stupidity!

Sunday was beautiful. Decided to spend the afternoon at a friend's pool. Also decided to use nothing but Maui Babe Browning Lotion. Yep, no sunblock. As you can probably guess, I got a tad bit burnt.

It's pretty safe to say that I'm burnt on every square inch of my body, minus 4 triangles (my face and feet made it out unscathed!). Lordy! I've been getting crazy with the aloe.

Thank you aloe, you beast of refreshing coolness!!!

Allergies suck. This year, allergies suck more than ever before. Not only am I totally gross with the amount of fluid by body is producing, as evidenced by the nose-blowing and hacking sounds . . . . . I developed a violent cough.

So violent, in fact, that I actually pulled?/tore? the muscle on my left side, over the ribs. My lats? Whatever. It's been 5 days and after seeing the chiropractor, the only way to feel better . . . . wait for it . . . . is time.

I can barely move!!!!!!!!!! AWFUL.
