this doesn't even begin to cover what this man has to offer. but i hope it gives a glimpse into the voice he employs. holy fuck. i've iconized him and his songs in the past. stumbling around listening to him still.

otherwise, hey - i'm drunk on good beer and have excellent live music in my future. i hope i don't die in the next month or so.

such an underrated and little-known band. i've been listening to them a ton lately.

also, weekends rock. and/or roll. i am blessedly non-hungover this morning, even.

ok, the photo mosaic thing was fun for a minute, but i can't hang with that in my journal forever. even though i have nothing of substance to replace it yet, just impatience.

so here's a quick snapshot from last weekend with the boys up in Warhammer, Wisconsin or Whereverthefuck. we were near the New Glarus brewery, that's all i know. and boy did we drink a lot of that stuff.



yep. old boy rolled the canoe trying to see how tight he could turn with the trolling motor.

i was actually one of the few that did not accidentally wind up in the drink at some point that weekend. i just got sunburned.

anyway, i'm going to drown myself in guitars for a bit. see ya.

so yeah, we're into the second round now, but i just stimulated the economy with my dubya money and bought a ps3, so... it's probably still a good while before i'm truly engaged again with the outside world.

that is, unless you like to go drink beer and see live music in chicago. i still do that all the time. Sybris on friday night, actually. come on out, it's a release show for their new one. and i defy you to not develop a crush on Angela if you do...

sorry i've not been around much the last week or so - the first round of the playoffs does this to me every year. there's so many games that i don't have much time for anything except work, sleep and watching basketball. i'll start freeing up as the field gets whittled down...
