So i met a young lady whos 18 yrs old this evening at Starbucks. We struck up a conversation about school and she began to tell me how she is going to school for an Associates in Science full time (in hopes of getting a Bachelors in Zoology and Vet school) and works full time. And that shes so stressed financially because she gets no help with school and she found out shes no longer going to receive the little financial aid she receives. She has no car and has to ask friends or take the bus to and from school and work. She as well began to tell me some personal health issues and other personal problems. She began tearing up and saying that shes so exhausted and doesn't know how much longer she can keep doing both. My heart began to hurt for her. I know its not easy going to school full time and work And feeling alone. Been there done that. And on top of that have more issues. I encouraged her to keep going for as long as she can as long as it doesn't affect her health. That one day it will get better, it will just take some time. Shes a strong, independent young lady who can and will make it in whatever it is that she yearns for. etc. Starbucks closed and as we were leaving she didn't have a ride for another two hours! I never EVER do this but i offered her a ride to her home. Its freakin cold and raining i couldn't just leave her there. She was so grateful and had a smile on her face and said thank you for taking the time to listen to hear. Seriously made my night. I hope i made some what of an impact on her <3
