About time for a new post, because the month did indeed improve... at the end of it.
I caved in and bought Warhammer Online. So far so good, the improvements over the way WoW does things are certainly a delight. Unfortunately the high and dark elves don't seem to do much pvp (or rvr as it's known in this game, realm vs realm) because everyone migrates over to the empire vs chaos areas. I intend to stay put though. I want to try out all the cultures. I prefer dark elves to high elves, which is ironic because in their 41st millennium counterpart, I prefer craftworld eldar to dark eldar.
But that's not the important thing, gameswise. The important thing is I got into the SWGEmu beta. See, SWG had to big game-changing upgrades, the CU after one year, the NGE after two. The latter is what made most of us left, but so many missed the pre-CU days, a bunch started making an emulation set at the last update before the CU. Two years later, you can run around and kill stuff. There's still plenty of work to be done, but version 1.0 is within sight, and that's because people loved the old version of the game so much. I think that's amazing.
As for today: It was foggy when I got up, yet somehow I didn't mind. On the way to the cashpoint I met a dog in the park. Saw quite a few nice asses on bicycle seats as I walked down roads. On the way back I met a cat I am already friends with, sitting on a car. I turned the corner and there she was, staring, expecting me to come over and pet her... which of course I did. Then I met more dogs in the park. Sometimes I wish I could be a happy pet with few problems, but at least the mood seems to have rubbed off on my today.
I've chosen a company to take down the tree in my front garden, and hopefully they'll take everything I've been chopping down in the back as well. They recycle everything.
My time on SG is drawing to a close. I think the account dies on the 15th of October, and I'm going to let it. If anyone wants me to see them naked after that, they'll just have to email me.
Edited to add: I'm listening to McCain vs Obama right now and I still want to shove a railroad spike through the former's face.
