Well, I am going to cancel my account in February. I feel that I was starting to view the girls as sexual objects, as there was no friendship or mental connection there, and that's not what this site should be about. And I couldn't find anyone to go to Philharmonic concerts with me, either :*( Good luck to all, especially the political rebels here.

I suppose you might as well start with the early ones but I'll just tell you my favorites (I like all of them...so...)
I think that In On the Killtaker is good as well as Repeater. End Hits is a pretty awesome later album, and you can tell...they just keep getting better and better. Lots of fans got weirded out by their latest The Argument, because of extra instrumentation and backup vocals --- but it's among my favs, they've skillfully used those elements into their style--while still changing and improving like always. I think I'm rambling...hell...get 'em all...

I don't think life really should have a "direction". Life is not a vector from point A to point B. And, of course, the very concept of "improvement" is based on entirely subjective values. No matter what you're doing at any point, you're "improving" yourself under one set of values and "devaluing" yourself under another. Is it "self-improvement" to sit around reading philosophy? Maybe. But what end does that accomplish? Is it "self-improvement" to amass a fortune in real estate? Maybe. But one of the great paradoxes of life is that every dollar carries the taint of a million atrocities against nature and fellow man - and yet to live a completely ascetic lifestyle, without possessions, isolates you from your fellow man. Is it "self-improvement" to own nothing? Maybe, but then is anything that leads to misery really an improvement of the self?

No - in my opinion, there is not only no "next level"; there's no "current level". Life isn't a progression; it's a series of constructs. And in the end, nearly every single person judges themselves relative to his or her neighbor, because that's about all we have to hold on to. We live out a reality constructed on top of other people's realities constructed, ironically, on our own.
