This is the Van Gogh quote on my living room wall and everytime i look at it i feel my heart sink a little. I sometimes wonder why i am so reluctant to give my all to the things in my life which mean so much and just wish i could do whatever the hell i wanted and fuck the consequences. If only life were that simple.

On a lighter note i had the best halloween in a long time. Catching up with my closest friends and dancing the night away like a complete fool. Have to say that going as Amy Winehouse was the easiest costume ever.

So i finally got a holiday from work last week after what felt like years but was only really a few months. I was hoping for a sunny getaway but Glasgow was as far as i got. It was one of my friends birthdays so we drank a bit too much and shopped a bit too much. We also went to the Necropolis on the sunday when we were feeling a little worse for wear. I have always wanted to visit it so here are some pics, it is so beautiful!

















We went to a Japanese tapas bar for dinner on the saturday night and it was AMAZING! Can't wait to go back. How was everyone elses weekend?

This week i have mostly been lazy and pissed off so first of all i dyed a bit of my hair pink whilst at my pals house,





Then i got bored of it - and all the stupid fucking comments from random strangers in sainsbury's - so i dyed it black again.
I also spent another drunken weekend in the company of my friend who was up from Birmingham again. This time though we sat in the house on sunday and wrote up a list of 30 things to do before we're 30. Here are just a few of mine:
1. Climb Ben Nevis
2. Make another collection to sell
3. Pass my driving test
4. Go to Amsterdam - again

It's amazing how much it gives you a kick up the arse to do things you've wanted to for ages. I've already booked more driving lessons.

Talk about a lost weekend, i can't remember most of saturday night or sunday come to think of it. Catching up with your best pals after a long time apart is indeed one of the best things ever...........even if it's just for the pics

I usually hate the summer, i'm not one for hot weather and sunbathing, but i'm enjoyin it this year for some reason. My favourite thing to do every week has been finishing work and going to the park to sit out in the sun and read a book. Thursday nights have turned into a piss up in my locals beer garden and then doing the pub quiz before staggering home in the clammy atmosphere. Drink of choice? Jack Daniels of course.

So things are strange on the boy crush front, i think i need some imput from all you men out there! I know he likes me because he has told me but he hasn't made a move yet. I know from him telling a friend that he hasn't made a move because he was worried about me dingying him - for you non scots thats rejecting his advances - and he texted me last night after he left my house saying that whenever he leaves my house he really wants to kiss me but just hasn't 'cause he doesn't know how i'll react. I texted him back saying he would've got the kiss if he tried 'cause i like him too.
So today we went out for a walk along the river but he never mentioned any of this, or tried it on...... It's looking like if i don't make a move first he won't try it, so my question to the guys is, would you be freaked out by a girl who just made the first move? I NEED a kiss like, now....is it too much to ask? I think i make him nervous.

So today i am mostly heartbroken................Tastespotting is no more How else will i get inspiration for my weekly shop. Where else will i be able to drool over thousands of food images and dream about what i could be having for tea the next night. Maybe the biggest question should be why i am so devastated over a food website shutting down..............my god it feels like my heart has been stamped on.

It's a sad day

Back from hols this week and back to work where the shit's hit the fan. My boss called me into work today to tell me she's handed in her notice. This sucks on 3 levels:
1. She's the nicest boss i've had in ages and is great to work for,
2. I am meant to be moving house soon and now i don't know whether to move or stay where i am because...
3. I think i might hand in my notice too

So overall it's been a shite start to the week. Aside from all this i had a great holiday, even if it was only for a few days. The weather stayed nice and sunny up north, even the beach was warm. Here's some random pics........beach karate is great fun when still half drunk!
